The Evil spirit is a spirit that corrupts Dani for three years, while she is under her own curse. It is part of Dani’s change in personality and part of the reason she was so powerful.
Appearance[]
The spirit doesn't have a clear appearance, however it is easily identifiable by its red eyes. In the haunted house, it is shown as a big black object with glowing red eyes. It takes the form of whatever body it is possessing and took Minino's body for the majority of the story.
Personality[]
Because the spirit is from the underworld, it is evil and only wants to create chaos. It seems to be submissive to its "master" of sorts -- it doesn't do things on its own, it obeys. It will only carry out orders if someone gets hurt or something evil happens in return. After the timeskip, it seems to have even more power over Dani and becomes the more dominant of the two while she is under her own curse, with the intention of taking over her body.
History[]
The spirit was first summoned by Alice and Romas, two witches who specialize in necromancy and paranormal life. It soon becomes the spirit of the house and obeys the two of them.
Story[]
King of Witches arc[]
Alice and Romas use the spirit to give nightmares to Dani, Dorian, and the others who were staying overnight in their haunted house, in order to steal their potions for their own business. The spirit gives the kids their worst nightmares, which are all revealed except Nico's. Ivy's worst nightmare is spiders, Anne's is heights, Amir's is small spaces, Mark's is a world without magic, Monica's is loving someone other than William, Dani's is becoming the Queen of Witches, and Dorian's is everyone turning on him and Dani dying.
After Alice and Romas steal the potions, they sell them and the potions turn people into wolves. Dani, who has been captured by Romas and Alice, befriends the spirit and convinces it that she is eviler than Alice and Romas and should obey her instead. The spirit takes Minino's body and joins her on the quest to find William. Dani uses the spirit to her advantage, using it to turn the wolves back into people, among other things that eventually lead the entire group to William.
Queen of Witches arc[]
The spirit has stayed with Dani throughout the time she was cursed, and one of the only people Dani actively responds to. It uses Dani's power and vulnerability to coerce her and is sort of her 'puppeteer'. During the later episodes, it also takes Dani's body and uses her powers against Dorian and the rest of the group. It also takes over Dorian's body for a short time. The group manages to expel the spirit from Dani's body and Dani becomes non-violent for the rest of the story.
Relationships[]
- Dani Wytte: The spirit obeyed her before the timeskip, in favour of her over Alice and Romas. After the timeskip, it coerced her into certain actions and wanted to take over her body forever due to how powerful it is.
- Alice and Romas: They were the ones who summoned the spirit from the underworld. They were the spirit's former masters, using it to give the other characters nightmares while staying over at their house.
