William's father was the king of an unnamed kingdom and very anti-witch. He served as an antagonist for much of the story.

Appearance

He was a tall old man with white hair and a moustache. He usually wore a dark green vest with golden plates and black pants. He also wore a golden crown with flame-like spikes on his head.

After the timeskip, it was shown he had become bald.

Personality

William's father was a very cold and cruel man. He believed witches were an inferior and dangerous race that needed to be eradicated and to achieve that he had no qualms about burning alive pregnant women or children. He showed several times to be quite stubborn and harsh as he hardly changed his mind when he decided to do something and even threatened his family if they tried to interfere.

Relationships

• Monica's father: They used to have an alliance until William's father betrayed it and ordered a witch to be burned.
• Monica: They barely interacted, but he seemed to only like her because she was marrying William.
• William: They had a close bond while William was growing up, but didn't agree with his father's actions and went against him. He was still sad at his father's funeral.
• William's mother: They were married and seemed to love each other in the past, but she seemed to have lost any feelings towards him and was very happy at his funeral.
