This open area was a paved courtyard with numerous doors and passageways leading to inside the Entrance Hall[1] and with a porte-cochère leading to and from the Training Grounds.[2] This was a popular hang-out spot for students.[1][2]

Behind the scenes[]
- In the first two video games, this entrance leads directly to the Entrance Hall, with a large, ornate front door. In the third, the same door appears, but cannot be opened - the Clock Tower Courtyard instead leads directly to the Entrance Hall.
