- "The House with the most points win a visit to the Bean Bonus Room. The length of the visit depends on how many more points they have over the second placed House."
- — Albus Dumbledore[src]
The House Point Ceremony chamber was a room in Hogwarts Castle, located off the Entrance Hall. During his tenure as Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore conducted House Point Ceremonies in this room for the 1992–1993 school year. Similar to the House point hourglasses in the Entrance Hall, a tally of each house's points to date was displayed in the room. Harry Potter visited this room on several occasions during the 1992–1993 school year, as did Draco Malfoy and several other students.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the video game adaptation of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the House Point Ceremonies were used to gain access to the Bean Bonus Room. This method of entry was abandoned in the following video game, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
