This statue, located in an alcove by the water in the Middle Courtyard, allegedly symbolised heartbreak. By 2 September 1890, it was broken, to which Professor Abraham Ronen quipped that a jilted lover might have thought it too accurate and lashed out. As part of a teaching assignment, Ronen instructed his new student to repair the statue using the Mending Charm.[1]
