The Crow is a flying, non-interactable creature found on several perches in the backyard. It is the largest creature in the game and is significantly larger than the player. It is identified by its beak, black feathers, and cawing noises.

Behavior[]

The Crow spawns randomly, flies into the yard, and sits on one of several perches. It sits idle while sometimes cawing or preening itself. Its talons sometimes make scratching noises while the Crow is moving on the perch. After some time, the Crow leaves the perch and flies out of the yard. Crow Feathers periodically drop around its perches and along its flight path.

The Crow does not interact with the player or with other Creatures.

Feathers[]

The Crows main purpose in the game is to provide a renewable source of Crow Feather Pieces from the feathers it drops. These feathers will drop while landing on a perch or on takeoff from a perch. They can also drop while it is flying away from or to a perch. While larger crow feathers are much more inconsistent, a smaller variant will always drop when it lands on a perch, though this feather can only provide 1 Crow Feather Piece.

Perching Locations[]

The Crow has a set of locations in which it will perch, stay in, and fly away from after a short while. During this time it will commonly drop Crow Feathers for the player to harvest. If the feathers are not harvested after awhile, they will despawn. The list of perching locations include:

  • The top of the north-most laser
  • A branch next to the bird bath in the Hedge
  • The top of the pagoda in the Koi Pond
  • The handle of the weed killer in the Haze
  • The top of the water bottle on the Picnic Table
  • The top of the backyard fence above the Sandbox
  • The top of the backyard fence above Castle Moldorc Playset

Feathers can drop in every perching location, but the best areas for harvesting them are the Picnic Table due to its flat surface and the Hedge due to predictable spawns. The Haze area also has pre-spawned feathers in the trenches of the area that don't require the Crow to land on the weed killer.
