Karl Allred (Republican Party) is the acting Wyoming Secretary of State. He assumed office on October 4, 2022.
Allred was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 15 of the Wyoming State Senate.[1]
Governor Mark Gordon (R) appointed Allred to the position of Acting Wyoming Secretary of State on September 29, 2022, to replace Edward Buchanan (R).

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was May 30, 2014. Bret McCoy ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Paul Barnard defeated Karl Allred in the Republican primary. Barnard defeated McCoy in the general election.[1][2]
