The South Tower (commonly referred to by residents of Frog Valley as Toad Tower) is a location situated near the edge of the Valley's mountains where it was the headquarters of Captain Grime and his Toad Army garrison once resided.
Background[]
It was first pictured on Wartwood Swamp's map in "Anne or Beast?" and made a cameo at the end of the episode "Best Fronds". It made its first official full appearance in "Prison Break".
After the destruction of the tower, the garrison was thought to have been disbanded. However, it is revealed that the entire garrison (sans Grime, Sasha, Braddock and Percy), including members like Bog, Fens and Mire, became bandits for months, until Bog was appointed by Jacinda as the leader of both Toad Tower and the reorganized Toad Army garrison. They then seemingly return to Toad Tower after leaving Wartwood.
Although Andrias sent his Frobot military to reign the Valley in "Turning Point", the tower wasn't destroyed and is currently still standing, albeit overgrown with flora, as seen in the credits of "The Hardest Thing".
Appearance[]
Toad Tower is a castle made of stone bricks. It is surrounded by a mountainous region, comprising of snow-capped mountains and ravines. There are many barren trees seen surrounding the tower and its walled exterior. The tower is built atop a rocky cliff with one leading pathway connecting it to the mainland, serving as its only entrance. Many fire torches can also be seen, hung at the entrance as well as along the tower's battlements. A single, long red flag is placed at the top of the tower. The tower has many rooms, including a stable keeping domesticated tarantulas, a main dining hall, a prison cell, a basement and Sasha's suite. In the credits for the series finale "The Hardest Thing", the tower is still in a state of disrepair, and has now grown plants on it (i.e. grass, roots, leaves and flowers).

Trivia[]
- In "Reunion", Wally planted blue boomshrooms in the sewers, which caused most of the tower's structure to crumble and fall apart, although it ultimately didn't collapse.
- Anne's shoe was left in the ruins of the tower after the destruction, until it was later spotted in the midst of a "love monsoon" in "After the Rain".
- The tower is seen in the Sasha Theme Song Takeover.
- In "Barrel's Warhammer", it is revealed that there are three more towers (North, East, and West), with Grime's Toad Tower being the South Tower.
- As of "True Colors", North Tower has been destroyed by the energy-based cannon on top of Newtopia Castle fired by King Andrias while flying in midair above Newtopia. It is unknown if any toad at that tower survived after the blast, although only one Toad from the North Tower manages to see the blast coming and he escapes.
- Marcy is the only one in the Calamity Trio to not visit this place.
