This article focuses on the interactions between everyone and Zee.
Overview[]
Overall, Zee made many allies and friends during his time in the competition due to his chill and laid back personality. However, a downside to his laid back behavior is that he's often naive and not very smart, making him a prime target to get manipulated or tricked by certain contestants. This leads to a lopsided perception of others and performance in challenges with even the two he got along with the most leaving him behind. In spite of better judgement, Zee is not the type to hold a grudge and is generally shown to like even the most disliked members of the cast, such as Chase, Ripper, Scary Girl, and even Chris.
Axel[]
Due to Axel's early elimination, the two do not have much interaction with each other. However, in Pirates of the Cabbagean, Zee accepts the roasted squirrel from Axel, even going as far as to compliment the taste of her cooking. When Axel asks him why he never told them that one of his legs is a prosthetic, Zee answers that it's probably same reason why Axel never said her legs weren't, an answer she accepts. During the elimination ceremony, Zee nods when Chef points out that Axel kicked Ripper overboard.
They interact a bit more in Total Drama Island (2024) when on the same team again and generally have a mixed relationship. Axel carries him back to shore in Taking It to the Rim Reaper when he is too unconscious from hitting the basket to swim. In Ice to Beat You, she gets annoyed by Zee urinating on the ice platform needed to help the team win and slaps his soda away when he tries to drink more. In Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral, Axel throws Zee into the sea when fighting for ingredients. Later in the episode, it is implied Zee voted off Axel because of her constant making out with Ripper and being a bigger threat.
Bowie[]
Bowie and Zee don't interact until the merge. Bowie turns down Emma's proposal to flirt with Zee instead of Chase, but he includes him in the alliance anyway for the majority vote. Their interactions at the start of Paddle Field Earth are positive, fist bumping Zee and even being impressed by Zee's "strategy" against Julia, Millie, and Priya. Despite the praise of Zee, Bowie only really views him as a pawn as he has no real care over dragging Zee face first into a honeycomb pit. At the campfire ceremony, Bowie becomes fed up with him after Zee attempts to bring everyone together against Chris. This leads to Bowie immediately requesting a revote to get Zee out of the game. In the season finale, Zee is amazed when the two finalists pole vault over the lava river.
Their interactions in Total Drama Island (2024) are limited due to being on different teams. In You Poor Saps, Zee laughs at Caleb’s insults towards Bowie. In Canoe Believe It?, Zee is happy for Bowie when he wins the second round against Axel.
Caleb[]
- For more information about this section, visit: Caleb and Zee
Although it is indicated that Zee thought positively of Caleb at first, he quickly loses said respect for him throughout Total Drama Island (2024). Starting in Ice to Beat You, Zee found himself in the middle of the complex reality of Caleb and Priya’s relationship: Priya had told him that she was sure Caleb liked her back, but Caleb explained that he only wanted Priya’s assistance in winning the competition. This causes Zee to have conflicting thoughts about the whole situation, thinking of Caleb as a manipulator now. This results in tension, and tension resulted in Zee finally exposing the “truth” in Haulin' n' Ballin', unaware of how Caleb had a change of heart.
Chase[]
- For more information about this section, visit: Chase, Ripper and Zee
In spite of Chase's selfishness, which causes him to be disliked by most of the cast, Zee and Chase get along very well. They bond as soon as Drown Town Abbey when Zee's telling him a made up story of how he lost his leg, earning Chase's respect. Due to getting along well and sharing a similar amount of stupidity, a three-way friendship forms between them and Ripper. Although Chase abandons Zee during the challenge in Jurassic Fart, he does in fact feel remorseful about it; more so than about anything else in his life, and Zee doesn't hold a grudge. They end the game on good terms even if Zee's spaced out attitude and forgetfulness leaves Chase confused more often than not, and despite the implication that he joined the others in voting Zee off after Bowie requests a revote in Paddle Field Earth.
Chris[]
While introducing Zee, Chris describes him as an "all around fun dude." Meanwhile, Zee refers to the host as "my man" upon meeting him and tries to hug him. Chris rejects this display of affection. While receiving his first marshmallow in Pirates of the Cabbage'an, Zee asks Chris if he can eat it. Dumbfounded by the question, the host nonetheless allows it, much to Zee's happiness. Chris compliments Zee’s cassowary outfit in Severe Eggs and Pains, and Zee replies, saying he should’ve seen him dance. Chris is impressed after Zee manages to catch his croissant and swallow it in The Wheel of Vomit and calls it a “touchdown”. In Paddle Field Earth, Zee arrives at the top of the mountain and asks if it’s the top. Chris, obviously confused by this question, confirms it is the top of the mountain, unless the rest is invisible. In order for everyone to get along, Zee comes up with an idea to unite both of his alliances in voting out Chris rather than be the deciding vote against one of them. Naturally, this fails and ends with Zee eliminated instead after Bowie asks for a re-vote, which Chris allowed. Upon his elimination, Zee tries to console Chris, even though he doesn't care.
In Haulin' n' Ballin', Zee was about to reveal a secret incident that Chris did in his past. However, Chris, who already uncomfortable with the other secrets, turned the camera taping them off saying they've heard enough secrets.
Damien[]
While not as close to Damien as he is to the other male members of the Ferocious Trout, Zee is generally on good terms with him in Total Drama Island (2023). Like the rest of their teammates, Damien is horrified when he thinks a shark ate Zee's leg and suggests that they call the ambulance in Pirates of the Cabbage'an. All his worries are for naught, Zee is fine and his leg was prosthetic all along. In Drown Town Abbey, Zee tells Damien and Chase a made up story of how he lost his leg: Damien is flabbergasted. He questions why Zee would do something so dangerous, Zee is unfazed by his concerned ranting. When Damien's life is in danger in the same episode, a spaced out Zee walks over to Damien and compliments his new "stand up bathtub". Damien cuts him off by yelling at him to just punch in the number, Zee complies. In Jurassic Fart when Damien resolves himself to leave the show, Zee is the first one to take part of his campaign; he happily covers himself with the former's buttons. Damien labels him as his "biggest supporter". In the season finale, Damien is the first person to agree with Zee's statement that the name "Wheel of Losers" is too harsh and suggests an alternative name.
In Taking It to the Rim Reaper when Millie drops Damien to the fourth point slide he along with his teammates was worried about Damien, when they win the game and Axel pulls Damien out the water he was upset about what Millie do. Despite siding with Damien, Zee has to physically restrain him as he argues with Millie at the start of You Poor Saps. Zee tries telling him to relax, as she’s not worth the anger.
Damien and Zee partner up for the challenge in Canoe Believe It?. As Damien takes notice of how love is in the air with Caleb and Priya, Zee suggests that maybe Caleb’s just trying to create an alliance using his muscles and charm. Damien explains that Zee’s description is exactly what flirting is. Upon learning that they’d be fighting each other, Zee reveals that Damien is a level 8 wizard squire, insisting they had the challenge bagged because of this. Damien is upset when Zee reveals his secret: as this wasn’t something he planned to share with everyone. As Damien and Zee fight, Damien goes hard on him while Zee simply tries avoiding the former’s hits. Zee tries to teeter totter his way out of the confrontation, only to fall into the water himself. However, Zee still cheers for Damien when the latter wins immunity.
In Haulin' n' Ballin', Damien is surprised about Zee knowing about Caleb seemingly only using Priya to get further in the game and questions why he didn't say anything earlier. Later, Zee reveals to everyone that Damien hasn't changed his underwear in the entire season, embarrassing and humiliating him as a result. In Breaking Up is Hard to Do, Damien reveals that he voted off Zee in the previous episode and feels bad for doing so due to thinking he did the right thing in bringing up Caleb's "manipulation" of Priya.
Emma[]
Neither of them talked with each other before due to being on opposing teams. However, being on opposing teams didn't stop Zee from praising Emma's attempts at getting the skull in the fourth episode. In Severe Eggs and Pains, Emma is slightly annoyed when Zee doesn't know what a cassowary is. Most of their interactions occur in Paddle Field Earth. Since Emma doesn't want to flirt with Chase after breaking up with him again, she asks Bowie if she can't flirt with Zee instead, only to see him eat a butterfly. Despite already being in an alliance with Priya, Julia and Millie, Zee accepts joining the alliance between Emma, Bowie, and Chase, believing uniting two alliances will make everyone stop fighting. During the challenge, Zee uses a fish as a bait to save Emma and Chase's lives, earning her respect. Seeing him give Julia, Millie, and Priya advice that backfires spectacularly makes him seem like a strategic genius that hides behind a guise of stupidity. Emma learns pretty quick that all the stupidity is genuine after Zee reveals his plan. She immediately votes him out. However, in the season finale she joins him in suggesting a different name for the "Wheel of Losers".
In Total Drama Island (2024) both Zee and Emma are placed on the same team but they don't interact as much due to Emma's early elimination but they still make solid interactions. Zee is seen to support Emma because in The Pink Painter Strikes Again when Emma is near the finish line Zee is seen cheering for her to cross the finish line. Also in Choosin' for a Bruisin' Zee is cheering for Emma once again but this time Zee accidentally spoils the plan causing her elimination.
Julia[]
Julia and Zee only really interact after she revealed her true face. In Launch Back of Notre Game, Julia is insulting and dismissive of him, not wanting to talk to him during the challenge. When he starts breaking the laws of physics, she tries and fails to get Zee to take her with him. After that, Julia only focuses on manipulating, bullying, and inconveniencing him. She planned to try and use him for her ploy to vote out Chase then gave Zee a vicious wedgie in the episode after.
It does not stop there, she tried to make him throw up in The Wheel of Vomit multiple times. She labels him as a human garbage disposal and succeeds in giving him a crippling disgust of milk.
In Paddle Field Earth, Julia incorporates him in her alliance purely as a filler spot; since in her words: they needed someone to be too dumb to notice they're being used. Zee fulfills that requirement from his general stupidity and blindly agreeing to join "Team Julia". Later on in the challenge, Zee helped Julia out of the honey pit out of a friendly gesture to his alliances. Only for Julia to drag him into it instead and vote him off soon after. Despite all of this, Zee still thinks positively of Julia and is the only confirmed camper in the season to think highly of her.
In Total Drama Island (2024), their interactions are initially limited due to being on different teams. In Haulin' n' Ballin', Julia notices that Zee is hiding a secret that could impact the game and spends the entire episode pressuring him to reveal it to her. She expresses joy at him when he finally reveals that Caleb initially intended to form an alliance with Priya to get further in the game and didn't truly like her (being unaware that Caleb developed legitimate romantic feelings for Priya as the season progressed) and tries to reassure him he did the right thing by spilling the secret. However, she quickly grows angry at Zee when he reveals her embarrassing secret of stealing her grandmother's earrings and refuses to sit near him at the elimination ceremony. It is indicated she voted out Zee for this. In Soar Losers, Zee shows unwillingness to see Julia arriving at the pier, sighing thinking it was Wayne. He is also seen admiring Caleb and Julia when they jump to the final target, due to being curious as to who would win the season.
Millie[]
Millie's opinion on Zee was primarily judgmental, writing any stupid things he did in her notebook. She thinks of him as an unreliable wildcard, showing to be against the idea of forming an alliance with Zee. Otherwise, Millie is the first to point out that Zee's breaking the laws of physics in Launch Back of Notre Game. Millie's judgement of Zee as a wildcard that shouldn't be allied with holds true throughout the season until the middle of the merge where Millie and Priya face the possible threat of a majority vote. Millie goes back on her word purely for having Zee as a filler member of an alliance, primarily for the reason that he's not smart enough to realize he's just being used. During Paddle Field Earth's challenge, she suggests that Zee is making a strategic play to Priya. When Zee's true intentions are exposed, Millie gets noticeably mad at him and joins the others in voting him out without hesitation.
When on Team Rat Face in Total Drama Island (2024), Millie and Zee initially start off on friendly terms. Zee is impressed at how fast Millie is able to run in The Pink Painter Strikes Again. However, this brief camaraderie evaporates in Taking It to the Rim Reaper when Zee is disgusted with Millie for tricking Damien into going down the Death Boot slide and votes her off in the following episode.
MK[]
Initially, the two do not interact due to being on different teams in both Total Drama Island (2023) and Total Drama Island (2024), as well as MK's early elimination in the former. In Haulin' n' Ballin', MK teams up with Julia to try and get Zee to spill the secret he has on Priya and Caleb. Later, Zee reveals to everyone that MK sleeps with a stuffed unicorn named Theodore, embarrassing and humiliating her as a result. This leads MK to get angry with him and refuse to sit near him at the elimination ceremony, culminating in her voting him out.
In Soar Losers, MK hears Zee’s soda can and ends up shooting him, causing Zee to ask why, to which MK said that he was there.
Nichelle[]
Nichelle and Zee are placed on the same team in Total Drama Island (2024) as the last two picks for the Rat Faces and start an insignificant friendship. Zee is impressed by Nichelle's abilities frequently, staring in awe during Choosin' for a Bruisin' after she lands perfectly despite getting the question wrong. In You Poor Saps, both are supportive of Damien's decision to ditch Millie after what she did, and follow him along the path of Avalanche Alley, during which Nichelle and Damien split up from Zee after he is moving too slowly for them. Zee and Nichelle are the only two members of their team to complete this challenge, and when Zee reaches the platform, Nichelle stares at him appearing very pleased. However Nichelle is also confused when Zee is talking of his raccoon. Zee and Nichelle both root for Caleb to make it to the platform when he is carrying the whole team, however it isn't enough and he doesn't make it. Zee and Nichelle are the only two contestants to walk to the elimination ceremony making for a weird moment. They are also the only two members to get a seat because of this, they both goof in the confessional about mishearing Damien supposedly talking about a meat loaf recipe.
Priya[]
- For more information about this section, visit: Priya and Zee
Priya never hangs out with Zee at first in Total Drama Island (2023), but they have a few interactions here and there. Zee tends to hinder, confuse, or downright frustrate her with his airheaded personality. They start off on okay terms, although Priya is often confused because of Zee. She first expresses frustration towards him after he’d inadvertently ruined her chance at allying with Scary Girl in Numbskull Island. Zee’s unpredictability eventually causes Priya to completely lose her patience with him in The Launchback of Notre Game after she has no choice but to fling him as their team’s last hope. When the merge reached a strategic standstill in Paddle Field Earth, Priya had no other choice but to try and form an alliance with Zee: purely for the sake of a filler spot so her main alliance can have the numbers advantage. He immediately accepts his position in her alliance, but this doesn’t last very long, as Priya does not hesitate to vote Zee off after he reveals his “plan that could not fail”.
In Total Drama Island (2024), Priya happily chooses Zee for her team. In Ice to Beat You, Priya regrettably tells Zee about her crush on Caleb. Zee is supportive of this, but struggles to keep it a secret, nearly spilling the beans several times in this episode. Zee worries for Priya after learning that Caleb doesn’t like her back in Canoe Believe It?. However, he’s generally unaware of the fact that Caleb had started reciprocating Priya’s crush on him. Zee happily works with Priya in Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral despite not liking the situation he’s been caught in with her and Caleb. Nevertheless, Zee is desperate to let loose about the “truth” behind Caleb’s intentions in Haulin' n' Ballin', which leaves Priya angry and heartbroken. While Priya may have been one of the individuals who voted for him, she wasn’t upset with him.
Raj and Wayne[]
The Hockey Bros trash talk Zee and his team, from directly bantering about how unimpressed they are with the team in front of their faces to making fun of their performance. Zee shows no hard feelings about this. After realizing Zee’s plan in Pirates of the Cabbage'an Wayne tells his team that they have to sink him. The Hockey Bros brace for impact as Zee’s ship approaches theirs, right before he unexpectedly crashes into the rocks. Zee isn’t intimidated when he spots Raj and Wayne charging his team’s base in Numbskull Island, simply looking at them with a confused glance. As Bowie, Raj, and Wayne manage to avoid Zee’s attempts at spraying them with the firehose, he compliments their performance.
In Canoe Believe It?, Zee is concerned for Wayne when Julia hits him in the first round and causes him to land on his crotch. In Haulin' n' Ballin', Zee reveals to everyone that Raj likes to smell other players' hockey bags which ends up embarrassing and humiliating Raj, leading to the Hockey Bros becoming angry with him and refusing to sit near him at the elimination ceremony. It is indicated both of them voted out Zee for revealing Raj's embarrassing secret. In Circling the Drain, the Hockey Bros find it cool when they get Zee's punishment and enjoy being thrown in the air by soda. Zee roots for Wayne in the finale, where he gives him a mouthful of soda and they both get distracted by pizza.
Ripper[]
- For more information about this section, visit: Chase, Ripper and Zee
In spite of Ripper's lack of manners, which caused him to be disliked by most of the cast, Zee and Ripper get along. The two form a three-way friendship along with Chase. At first, Ripper is trying to fight Zee to show who the "alfalfa" male is but immediately makes small talk about blindfolds and sodas in the same episode. He walks away with a new opinion of Zee at the end of Pirates of the Cabbagean, shocked about his prosthetic leg like the rest of the team. Ripper is shown to respect Zee, he is the only one that thinks of him as a strong player in Drown Town Abbey and shows to be amazed about his stories. Zee has a heightened respect for Ripper too after he singlehandedly drives the enemy team away in Numbskull Island. They team up once again at start of the merge. Although Ripper abandons Zee during the challenge in Severe Eggs and Pains, Zee chooses not to hold a grudge against him. As proven by the two continuing to hang out in The Wheel of Vomit.
Scary Girl[]
Zee seems to be the only person who isn't openly frightened by Scary Girl, as he is shown to be friendly with her. However, Zee can also be seen with an uncomfortable expression on his face anytime he's near her or sees her doing weird things. In Pirates of the Cabbage'an, Zee points out to Scary Girl that she has a bit of the roasted squirrel on her face as she's messily eating, to which she wipes her mouth. During the challenge, Scary Girl and Zee quickly become the last two members of their team aboard the ship, and Zee asks Scary Girl what they should do; she suggests ramming their ship into the Frogs' ship so it's cause a tie. In Numbskull Island, Zee admits that he thinks that Scary Girl looks weak and "super weird", describing her as a "haunted circus doll with the eyes of a soul-sucking corpse".
Exceptions[]
While Zee's easygoing and forgiving nature makes him generally get along with everyone, with a few minor exceptions, out of which only one antagonizes him, there are two instances when everyone's patience with him runs out, both of which being his elimination episodes. In Paddle Field Earth he reveals his plan of uniting both of his alliances in order to vote off the host, thus wasting his chance to become the deciding vote. This plan isn't received well by anyone, to the point Bowie asks Chris for a re-vote, with the implication that the re-vote was unanimous.
In Haulin' n' Ballin', Zee reveals what he believed was Caleb's manipulation of Priya. Following this, he also proceeds to spill Chef, Damien, Julia, MK, and Raj's embarrassing secrets on TV as well. This causes them to get upset with Zee for his loose lips and ends with him becoming as hated as Caleb, with others even refusing to sit by either of them at the Campfire Ceremony. Zee ends up being eliminated over Caleb for this.
