Overview[]
Zee and Ripper help Chase face his fear of catapults.
The last three male members of the Ferocious Trout in Total Drama Island (2023) are usually seen as a trio, mainly due to the three of them having no real reason to dislike each other. In particular, Chase and Zee seem to be the only people on the island to not be grossed out by Ripper's disgusting habits. His gross tendencies even earned their respect. Ripper meanwhile is never seen calling Chase and Zee nerds nor actively bullying the two like he tends to do with everybody else. Even though he does mistreat Zee on two occasions at least. There remains a degree of respect between the three of them, all the same. Chase and Ripper are directly described as having a "bromance" by Millie, while Zee is the only person that Chase has shown genuine worry about, to the point of feeling actual remorse after leaving him behind with a raptor. Furthermore, Zee tells the two stories about supposedly losing his left leg: impressing them both. Overall, despite their contrasting personalities and willingness to take advantage of one another, they usually have positive or at least neutral interactions with one another in every episode they are seen competing together.
The trio is separated in Total Drama Island (2024) as a result of Zee being placed on Team Rat Face while Ripper and Chase are on Team Skunk Butt. In addition to this, whatever camaraderie they have in the previous season is mostly non-existent, as shown when Chase and Ripper vote for each other in Taking It to the Rim Reaper and when Zee is shown to be one of the many people disgusted at Ripper's relationship with Axel.
Total Drama Island (2023)[]
Opening Sequence[]

Ripper and Zee are in the same sequence in the intro, where Ripper chugs on a bucket full of beans as Zee, Wayne and Raj cheer him on. Ripper farts and burps at the same time, burping in Zee's face with enough power to send Zee flying backwards off of his log.
Meet the Victims[]

When Ripper rips his shirt off after he is sent to the island and shows off his non-existent muscles, Zee doesn't show any disgust at all unlike Priya and Millie, as he just sips his soda and smiles. Chase, Zee and Ripper were all placed on the Ferocious Trout. When given their team flag, Chase and Zee are the ones that held it and they both look nervously towards each other, unsure about what will happen in the events of the day. Zee and Ripper are both seen in the boys cabin where they "debate" who gets what bed. They interact again shortly afterward at the start of the challenge, Ripper talks about blindfolds then asks Zee where he got the soda from, Zee had no idea. Ripper and Chase were paired up for the challenge, beginning their bromance as Chase finds Ripper exposing his butt wicked. Zee's also the only other one amused by the ripped pants, laughing a bit and exclaiming "bum!".
Pirates of the Cabbagean[]
When Ripper asks his teammates whether they'd prefer him or Axel to be their captain, Chase joins the majority voting in favor of Axel, whereas Zee is one of two teammates to abstain from voting. Ripper watches in horror when Zee's left leg was bitten off by a shark, and became extremely confused as to why he took it well. The shark spits out his leg, which everyone soon figures out that Zee never had a real left leg to begin with but rather a removable prosthesis since he was secretly born without it, and thus wasn't injured, except for Ripper. Ripper thought that Zee's a robot because of his prosthesis. At the elimination ceremony, Zee nods when Chef points out the fact that Axel kicked Ripper overboard.
Drown Town Abbey[]
Zee's telling Chase and Damien a made up story about how he lost his leg: losing it from bungee jumping out of a helicopter into a tank filled with piranhas. Chase is amazed and thinks the story is epic. Before the challenge began, Chris tells Ripper about the incident with his pants and the letters filled with barf. Chase is the only one making an effort not to openly laugh at Ripper's expense. Ripper devises the plan for their order, choosing himself, Chase, and Zee as the team's strongest players. This is the moment where Ripper exclusively calls Chase: Pretty Boy. Chase is the one teammate that actively cheered for Ripper during the challenge in spite of Ripper's crummy performance. Zee's also impressed when Chase tries to show off and perform a flashy spin maneuver in the middle of grabbing his key code number.
Numbskull Island[]
Ripper and Chase drink hot sauce together as Millie comments about their bromance.
While pondering their potential allies, Millie comments how Chase and Ripper have a bromance going on, as the two have a contest drinking hot sauce. Ripper and Zee are the two defending the skull together, Ripper's potent "stink bomb" earns Zee's respect. Ripper proceeds to brag about his potency and power of it which Zee finds cool. After that, Ripper entrusts Zee with their fort as he attempts to win the challenge by himself. However, the team ends up losing the challenge and both Ripper and Scary Girl are called out for their performances: Zee admits Ripper went a little too far after seeing Priya's disfigured face. Chase is the only one to stand up for Ripper, arguing that at least he almost won it for them. In the ceremony, neither Chase or Zee vote for Ripper: narrowly keeping him in the game.
Jurassic Fart[]
Chase laughs at Zee for being afraid.
Chase and Zee end up paired together for the challenge. They have a bunch of interactions, starting the instant they think they're safe after everyone gets chased by the raptors. Chase begins asking for advice about "hypothetically" cutting his girlfriend's brakes, Zee has no advice for him. All he can really say is that he'd never be in that situation: he loves girls, he loves cars, and he loves brakes. Chase starts to plead for any kind of help only to make too much noise, alerting something in a bush. Their worries are for nothing at first as that "something" reveals to be a deer. Chase didn't hesitate to tease Zee about being scared until a raptor shows up and eats the baby deer: terrifying both of them. They hold each other in fear and run away. After finally being safe, Chase once again can't help himself from making noise. Chase pleads for Zee to help him quiet down, Zee's against it but realizes he doesn't have a choice as they're both in danger. So Zee solves the problem... by holding Chase's butt shut.
In order to stay safe, Zee has to take one for the team.
The awkward situation turns mildly chill at first as Zee goes from hesitant to impressed. He compliments how well Chase works out, that his bum is "statue hard", Chase takes the compliment in stride. Unfortunately the same raptor arrives once again, cutting off their bizarre bonding session. Zee gets his prosthetic leg stuck in a rock while they're being chased, Zee cries out for his friend to help. Chase runs back, trying to help him but with the raptor approaching, Chase apologizes and chickens out: running away by his lonesome. These circumstances make Chase the sorriest he's ever been in his life. He genuinely cries over someone else's wellbeing for the first time in the show. A sobbing Chase clutches Zee when he sees him again at the finish line, apologizing profusely for leaving him behind. Zee then says that he would've done the same and proceeds to forgive him, deepening their bond.
The Launchback of Notre Game[]
When the challenge started, Ripper immediately goes to the catapult to call shotgun, Chase allows him of course, since he's afraid of catapults (confirmed by Emma). He decides to stand around and look busy instead. Zee asks the two if catapults are made out of cats soon after. After ignoring Priya and Ripper calling her "nerd," Zee accidentally launches Ripper and missed the 1,000 points zone, this made Ripper land into crabs. Once it's Chase's turn to go, Chase is hesitant but Ripper and Zee force him to face his fear. They grab him and toss him into the catapult to be launched. Deeper into the challenge when he's about to be launched 10,000 feet, Zee lies that he lost his leg from a human catapult, impressing Ripper.
Severe Eggs and Pains[]

As soon as the cassowary egg hunt challenge begins, Ripper teams up with Zee: who currently had bad hiccups sometime after spitting his soda out on Chase. Julia attempts to manipulate Ripper and convince him to vote for Chase, he's shown to briefly consider it. Zee and Ripper stumble across the "nerd bird", Ripper gets the idea for Zee to seduce the cassowary with his hiccups and a cassowary disguise. Once he successfully shook his tail-feathers and tamed the bird, Ripper took an egg and ditched Zee. Before Ripper spikes the baby egg, he makes clear in a confessional that he saw through Julia's attempt at tricking him. He had no real interest in sending Chase packing in the end. At the elimination ceremony, Zee looks sad when Chef points out what Ripper did earlier.
The Wheel of Vomit[]
Ripper and Chase are both dumbfounded by Zee after he just now realized that Chase and Emma used to date.
The three of them talk in the mess hall about Chase's relationship status. Chase celebrates about making out with Emma, Ripper sarcastically comments that kissing the same girl he kissed a hundred times isn't a big deal and Zee had no idea they used to date, dumbfounding the other two. Ripper asks where he's been this whole time, and Zee begins to describe the recent locations he'd passed since arriving at their current location. Zee alone nearly makes Chase and Ripper vomit early into the challenge. Zee asks Chase if tapeworms comes from cows in the middle of spectating Ripper and Julia's tapeworm eating race.
Paddle Field Earth[]
Chase crashes into the outhouse while Zee is inside it, much to the latter's discomfort.
Zee saves Chase with a well timed salmon toss when the bears nearly buried him and Emma. Further into the challenge, Chase is sent flying into Zee's confessional, Zee exclaims that Chase needs to knock first. In the same episode, Zee initially joined the alliance between Chase, Emma and Bowie to vote Priya, but Zee reveals during the elimination ceremony that he actually wants to stay friends with everyone and eliminate Chris. This prompted Bowie to request a revote, Chase joined the others in voting Zee off because of his stupid plan.

When Bowie picks Chase to be on Team Skunk Butt, Ripper calls him a "weak" pick.
Taking It to the Rim Reaper[]
Ripper gets annoyed by Chase not participating in the challenge due to being distracted in filming his intro. He angrily glares at him at the elimination ceremony when Chef mentions Chase's inability to help his team in the challenge. Both of them end up in the bottom two, with Chase and Ripper trying to vote each other out.
Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral[]
Zee, along with everyone present, is disgusted by Ripper and Axel's relationship as they're making a chocolate sculpture.

- The three of them were eliminated in back-to-back episodes in Total Drama Island (2023).

- Furthermore, both lasted for one episode less and ranked one rank worse in their second season than in their first.
