The challenge of the day is that the teams must catapult themselves into targets, but a chicken worries about it due to a fear of catapults. While in tapioca pudding, one contestant reveals his love for another with a kiss, and leaves a third ecstatic. When a blogger shows her true self, she costs her team the challenge, but exposes a thief for stealing and watching everyone’s confessionals, which gets her voted off.
Plot[]
The episode starts off at the dining hall, still having been wrecked by what happened in the last episode. Zee is amazed on how Millie, Priya, Ripper and Damien blew up a raptor while Ripper comments about being blown up by one's own farts is a hero's exit. Millie decides to add that to the things Ripper doesn't know, which amazes Priya on what a sick burn that was.
Millie |
“ | The kids at school called me a lot of things. None of them are funny, but we don't need to go there. | ” |
Julia |
“ | So, someone posted a video of me smack talking that raptor, and I lost 300,000 followers! And you know what? I don't care. I'm relieved. Do you have any idea how hard it is to pretend to like yoga and emojis? And OMG, avocado toast is gross! I'm finally free. Now it's time to show the world the real Julia. | ” |
The dining hall starts rumbling, in which Emma fears it's the raptors. Instead, it was Julia, looking angry. Bowie starts to taunt Julia about insulting forest creatures, but Julia takes Bowie's burrito and smacks him with it. Everyone is shocked, but Ripper is angry, saying that you can't smack a man with his own burrito before he is smacked by the burrito. Julia angrily asks who posted the video of her yelling at the raptor. MK looks apprehensive, but aside from that, nobody comes forward. Julia leaves to try and find out herself, but the horn announcing the next challenge blares, scaring Ripper who shares that it scared half a burrito out of him, disgusting Millie and Priya.
Millie |
“ | It's gross that it happened, but somehow more gross that he told us. | ” |
As they are heading the challenge, Emma starts wondering where the Hockey Bros. are at. Wayne and Raj arrive late, with Raj saying that they wanted to wear their lucky playoff beards for the challenge.
Wayne |
“ | [Wayne]: When your hockey team's in the playoffs, shaving is bad luck. [Raj]: So everyone ends up with beards. [Wayne]: We can't grow them yet. These are fake! [Raj]: But eventually we'll be men and actually have to shave our faces. |
” | Raj |
MK sarcastically wonders where they are when Wayne suggests that he probably swallowed them in his sleep. Wayne decides to try to puke them out of his mouth while acting like a cat. Raj recalls an instance where Wayne spat out three hockey pucks and a map of northern Saskatchewan, while Emma comments on how she always wanted a cat.
MK |
“ | Yeah, I took their beards! Ha ha! Gonna auction them off on my new website: Things Total Drama Island Contestants Used to Own. Cha-ching! | ” |
Wayne finishes coughing up items out of his mouth, but the beards are nowhere to be found. MK asks Julia where the beards are, but she gets offended by the accusation of stealing, saying she's allergic to things that stick to bodies. MK accuses her of lying, but Julia replies that she's missing a necklace and a phone, concluding there is a thief among them, and it's not her. Bowie and Emma add that they're missing lip balm and a hair brush respectively. Julia compares Emma's hair to a rat's nest, which offends Emma. Julia says that she's been dying to say that all week and is happy to be her true self.
Emma |
“ | Rats are actually the cleanest of all the rodents so thank you for the compliment. | ” |
The campers, donned in helmets, are learning about the next challenge, which Chris called, "Stranger Flings." Each team must use their medieval catapult to fling their teammates, something that gets Chase worried. The campers are tasked to fling their teammates to one of three point value targets of 1000, 2000 and 3000 points in order of distance. Bowie points out the craters in front of and behind each target which Chris calls them Surprise Penalty Pits for those that undershoot or overshoot their target. Chris notices Chase looking fearful about the challenge, getting Emma excited.
Emma |
“ | Chase has never backed out of a dare. He's done it all, except for the slingshot ride at Eight Pennant Theme Park! He totally chickened out! | ” |
Chase decides to designate himself as the flinger and will work the catapult, but Chris informs the contestants that every team member must be flung at least once before someone goes again, adding the end goal of being the first team to get 10,000 points being the winner. Priya tells Millie that her parents signed her up for catapult camp last summer, so she knows about torque, tension, and angles. Priya thinks it's weird and asks Millie not to tell, in which Millie promises.
Millie |
“ | Who sends their kid to Catapult Camp? That is tragic, but it's also gold. But I am putting it in my book. |
” |
Chris then starts the challenge. Ripper calls to be the first to be flung, Chase says that he'll look busy while Zee wonders if catapults are made of cats. Priya calls out that she knows how to work catapults and wants to be in charge, but Ripper calls her a nerd.
Priya |
“ | I'm going to fling Ripper into the sun! Ugh, no, I wanna win. | ” |
Priya starts explaining to Millie the calculations needed to fling Ripper to the targets when Zee gets curious on what the lever in front of him does. He pulls it, flinging Ripper, which delights Chris as the first fling of the challenge was by accident. Ripper ends up in a pit in front of a target, which Chef explains is one filled with crabs, which are attacking Ripper. Priya tells Millie to get on the catapult so she can launch her to the third target. Millie is hesitant, but Priya is confident about the calculations she made.
Millie |
“ | If I want Priya to keep helping me through these challenges so I can continue my research, I'm going to need to put myself at risk sometimes. | ” |
Wayne and Raj are cranking the wheel of the catapult while Julia starts yelling commands at them. She asks who will be going first, but nobody comes forward. Julia yells at them to step up.
Julia |
“ | My team wants me gone, but they can't vote me off if we win. So I'm taking charge! | ” |
Emma volunteers herself to be launched. Julia calls her "bed head", but before Emma can argue, Julia launches her, causing her to let out an ear piercing scream as she flies before she lands into the 2,000 point target. Wayne and Raj cheer, but Julia insists on taking credit. Emma steps out of the target, but in her dazed state, she accidentally falls into the penalty pit in front of the target. She lands into a barrel where she finds herself being attacked by an angry bull. Priya tells Millie to tuck on her descent before she proceeds to launch Millie. Millie cheers as she is flying through the air before Priya instructs her to tuck, in which she does so and lands in the 3,000 point target. Millie steps out of the target cheering.
Millie |
“ | That was the most fun I've ever had! | ” |
Wayne and Raj volunteer to go next while Bowie compliments how cozy they look on there. Chef tells them that only one camper can be flung at a time, getting Raj to get off. Julia launches Wayne, who then does a trick as he's looking backwards. However, he crashes into an eagle flying by, causing him to fall straight down into the pit, landing on the bull chasing Emma. Raj tells Julia to aim for the bull pit, but Julia tells him that they need points and she's prioritizing that. Julia launches Raj, but she ends up overshooting the 3,000 point target. Julia is angry and MK tells her she's doing horribly before suggesting someone else work the catapult, which angers Julia as she claims she's got it. Emma finally returns in a dazed state before collapsing. Raj starts swimming in what he believes to be vomit, but Chris confirms that it's tapioca pudding, which disgusts Bowie, MK and Julia, the former describing it as the "evilest pudding of them all." Raj gets a cramp treading the tapioca and Wayne calls out for someone to save Raj. Bowie volunteers himself and tells Julia to launch him to the pudding.
Meanwhile, the bull kicks Wayne out of the pit causing him to fall into the 2,000 point target and raising the score of the Frogs of Death to 4,000 points. Emma cheers before collapsing while MK says she keeps her celebrations pocket sized, celebrating quietly. Priya gets angry, pointing out Wayne landed in a penalty zone, but Chef replied that Wayne landed on top of the bull, so it never touch the ground until he landed in the point zone. Priya gets annoyed that nobody mentioned that before commanding Chase to get in the catapult. Ripper and Zee throw the fearful Chase into the catapult before Priya launches him, while Julia launched Bowie around the same time. As Chase is flying, he alternates between screaming and fainting, something Emma finds exciting to hear. Chase doesn't tuck and ends up in the crab pit behind the 1,000 point target. Chase kicks a crab before he getting chased by a mutant hermit crab. Meanwhile, Bowie does some flips as Emma cheers that he's going to make the target.
Bowie |
“ | What? You think Priya's the only one who trained for this? I'm mind and body fierce. | ” |
Bowie lands into the 3,000 target before jumping out of the target hole and into the tapioca pudding pit to save Raj. Chris mentions the sharks, shocking Chef and the other campers. Chris "scolds" himself for forgetting about the sharks again before being interrupted by Priya being launched. Millie cheers her on before Priya lands in the 3,000 point target, causing Priya to jump for joy.
|
|
Bowie pops up from the tapioca pudding to a flailing Raj, but Raj stops flailing when he hears Bowie. When Bowie notices the sharks, Bowie tries to get Raj to leave when unexpectedly, Raj impulsively kisses Bowie on the lips, unaware Wayne's watching them with enthusiasm for them.
|
|
Wayne |
“ | So I go run over to help my bud and what do I see? Raj kissing Bowie! Face kissing! On the face! That happened, bro! Okay, I can't celebrate with him until he tells me. He's for sure gonna now, though! This is it! | ” |
Raj apologizes and tells Bowie that he's thinking about kissing him, but Bowie stops him and tells him to continue after they get away from the sharks, in which Raj mistakes for the San Jose hockey team. A shark pops up showing enthusiasm for watching them kiss. With the Frogs of Death leading with 7,000 points with the Ferocious Trout having 6,000, Chris introduces the lightning round, where there is now a winner takes all target, though Zee asks why it can't be "winner shares all." Chris explains that a target valued at 10,000 points is 10,000 feet away and all campers have to do is to fly though an electrical storm. Millie points out how dangerous that sounds, but Chris adds that landing in that target grants an immediate win. Ripper is hesitant, but Priya points out it's their only chance to win, confident that she'll calculate the trajectory needed. Millie volunteers herself, but Priya reminds her that every team member has to go at least once, which leaves Zee as the only one who has not yet been launched. Zee easily agrees before asking what he's doing. Priya explains what they're doing to him and Zee asks if he said yes to that.
Zee |
“ | To fly that far, you need to think light thoughts... which is pretty heavy. | ” |
As Zee gets on the catapult, Zee tells Ripper that a catapult launch is how he lost his leg. Ripper is fascinated , believing Zee's story is true.
Zee |
“ | Not a true story. Fabricated it, man. Brain game! | ” |
Meanwhile, Emma points out that the Frogs of Death are already winning with only 3,000 points to win. MK suggests that they play it safe and aim for the 3,000 point area, but Julia impulsively gets on the catapult wanting to win the challenge for her team. She ends up launching herself while Priya launches Zee. In the air, Zee manages to catch up to Julia, who is trying to focus. However, Priya and Julia start noticing that the two of them are dropping too early, with Zee suggesting they drop some weight. Zee drops his can of soda while Julia starts to drop her many phones on her person, some of the phones hitting Zee. Julia resigns herself as she believes neither of them will make the target, but Zee decides to toss his prosthetic leg. Surprisingly, Zee manages to start ascending, a feat that, as Millie points out, defies the laws of physics (even though she witnessed a bunch of dinosaurs in the previous episode). Julia tries to grab onto Zee's hand, but Zee rises too fast for her to grab on, causing her to crash into a tree. Zee heads into the storm cloud before he is struck by lightning. He undergoes a hallucinogenic trip where he grows an extra finger and is flying through the sky with fish, riding on a dolphin towards a gigantic can of soda that he dives into. Back in reality, Zee comments how wild that trip was as he finds himself in the 10,000 point area, winning the challenge for the Ferocious Trout. As they celebrate, Priya calls Millie "bestie" while Chase ends up attacked by a mutant hermit crab. Chris tells the Frogs of Death that he's expecting them at the elimination ceremony tonight while calling out to Julia, who is still on the tree.
Millie |
“ | Did Priya just call us 'besties'? | ” |
Later that night, Julia and MK are arguing about who to eliminate, with Julia arguing that her efforts were why they were in the lead in the first place. MK argues that if they had continued what they were previously doing, they would have won before Zee landed, but Julia counters by pointing out that MK didn't even get launched. MK proceeds to call Julia "moo-low" and adds that she's even more so just for asking what it means.
MK |
“ | I just made up a word, ha ha ha. And it is killing her! | ” |
Raj starts speaking up, but Wayne wants everyone to give him their undivided attention, thinking that Raj is coming out to them. However, Raj simply reminds them that it’s time they head to the elimination ceremony, much to Wayne’s disappointment. As the team starts leaving the cabin for the elimination ceremony, MK taunts Julia that they're going to vote her off, calling her a "butt-knuckle" in the process.
Julia |
“ | Whatever. I might be going home, but I'm not a butt-knuckle. Wait a minute. Butt-knuckle is my word. And I've only ever said it in here! (gasps) MK's been watching our confessionals! Oh ho ho ho! I might just survive this elimination after all! | ” |
With this newfound realization, Julia goes back in the cabin and rummages through MK's bunk until she finds the evidence that she needs.
At the elimination ceremony, Julia arrives after everyone else tells the others that MK's the thief and that she was the one listening to all their confessionals. Julia dumps the bag containing Wayne and Raj’s playoff beards, Emma’s hairbrush and the phone. Bowie tosses the phone into the lake to make sure their secrets are safe. MK tries to claim she's never seen it before and tries to deflect the blame onto Julia by using the fact she arrived late with their belongings and the fact that the confessionals are on Julia's phone. Julia at first struggles to come up with one last defense to convince them not to side with MK before ultimately claiming that MK saw all of them pooping, even though she didn't, which shocks the entire team.
Wayne |
“ | [Wayne]: I do not have a good pooping face. [Raj]: It's cause you're overthinking it instead of just letting it happen, dude. Trust your butt. |
” | Raj |
Bowie |
“ | I really wanted to hang onto that phone full of confessionals. But no one having it is better than Julia having it. And today wasn't all that bad. I got kissed by a very fine boy. | ” |
Wayne, Raj, Bowie and Emma have received their marshmallows, leaving Julia and MK at the bottom two. To her relief, Julia gets the last marshmallow while MK gets eliminated, Julia rubs it in.
MK was disappointed about her elimination, saying that the phone had all the dirt she needed to get herself to the finals and the Drone of Despair grabs her and carries her away. Although on the plus side, MK states that at least she didn’t make any friends. MK is carried away by her hat, with Chris noting how tight fitting it is before signing off the show.
