This article focuses on the interactions between Bowie and Emma.
Overview[]
Bowie and Emma almost instantly clicked as friends; Bowie wanted allies and enjoyed Emma's personality. She had a little sass and anger on her, which Bowie would enjoy. Emma becomes fond of Bowie after he personally prevents her from being eliminated. After learning that Emma's anger is mainly towards Chase, Bowie almost immediately dislikes him. He promises to help her get revenge and enjoys talking badly about him with Emma, as he appears to take great amusement in the drama around him. However, after Chase and Emma get back together and Chase is eliminated, Bowie has lost respect for Emma at this point. Emma, in return, began to have mixed feelings towards Bowie once Julia told her that he voted for Chase. During Tortoise Rigamortis, Emma sabotages Bowie before getting angry at him for voting out Chase. Bowie lashes back and they drift apart; Bowie votes for Emma that day and she is eliminated.
They have no interaction other than a few brief acknowledgements in the second season due to being on different teams and Emma's early elimination, but since Emma is one of the several contestants that gives Bowie the stink eye in The Pink Painter Strikes Again, this shows that their friendship remains unresolved, even though Emma has broken up with Chase again after discovering that Bowie was right about him.

Meet the Victims[]
From the moment Emma arrives, Bowie likes her vibes. Both Bowie and Emma were infatuated after seeing Caleb and then star-struck upon the arrival of Nichelle, the famous teen actress, and gushed about the movies she was in. He meets her in the girls' cabin and is interested in her prior relationship with Chase. He finds out a little about her like what she would do with the million (Donating half of it to an animal hospital which Bowie admits is something so generous he'll never do) and more. Bowie explains in the confessional that he likes her athleticism and slightly spicy attitude which is exactly who he's after in both a friend and an alliance.
Emma and Bowie are put on the role of guiding Wayne and Nichelle to the buckets for the challenge. Bowie is excited to hear what Chase did to Emma during the challenge and declares that straight couples are messed up after she reveals Chase cut the breaks on her car and crashed into a pet-store because of it. He was really hoping that Emma was mad at Chase because he cheated on her, but this is arguably far worse. At the elimination ceremony, it is implied Bowie pulled a few strings to get Caleb eliminated over Emma as he wants her in his alliance, not just because Caleb was a threat.
Pirates of the Cabbagean[]
Bowie sits down with Emma in the main lodge, she is confused why she wasn't sent home, and Bowie explains that he convinced everyone to vote for Caleb. Emma asks if he did that for her, but Bowie says he didn't but considers she still owes him one as he is sad to see Caleb gone. Bowie asks about Chase, and Emma explains their relationship issues. Bowie says that he will help her get revenge on him during the challenge.
Bowie and Emma assign themselves to a cannon together, and instead of aiming for the ship, they aim for Chase. Even after Nichelle's explanation and accusations they still aim for him. When Emma insists this, Bowie states that he likes Emma's style. They manage to hit other people instead of Chase, and Wayne believes that their unintended strategy is a great one, so the Frogs of Death all begin doing this.
Drown Town Abbey[]
Bowie and Emma work together to try and cheer Nichelle up, being the most active in trying to get her back in the game. Bowie isn't as eager or supportive but goes along with it after Emma whispers advice: that they have to support her if they want to win the challenge.
Numbskull Island[]
Emma and Bowie were both trying to eat breakfast before Chase comes over, Bowie moves slightly away saying he'll give the two privacy, however he is still listening in excitedly. After he leaves, Bowie asks how she is doing, Emma responds asking how she can prove to Chase that she is over him to which Bowie says she needs to stop thinking about him. Later in the challenge, Bowie and Raj tag out whilst Emma goes for the skull.
Jurassic Fart[]
For the challenge, Bowie and Emma run from the raptor and agree that they need to stick together, however Bowie trips over and Emma doesn't notice so she continues running without him. Luckily, after Emma jumps in a bush she finds Bowie again, they hug as they are relieved to see each other. A raptor is spotted by the two nearby, and Bowie says they will be able to survive if they stay silent. Unfortunately for him, Emma farts, alerting the dino. The two separate again and reach the finish line at different times with Emma arriving before Bowie.
Launch Back of Notre Game[]
Emma gasped out loud after Bowie got hit by a burrito from Julia. Bowie and Emma walk with their team and talk about needing to win the challenge and the lucky playoff beards being stolen. Emma cheers for Bowie when it appears he is going to make it to the target. Bowie and Emma appear to side with Julia when her and MK are arguing as they can be seen glaring at MK from right behind Julia.
Severe Eggs and Pains[]
Emma and Bowie were busy discussing strategy for the challenge before they are interrupted by Chase. After Emma shoved him to the ground declaring they'd been over for months, she asks Bowie if they want to be partners which he accepts with ease. After Bowie and Raj run into each other, Emma decides she should give the pair some privacy. After running away, Emma asks what was going on in a supportive friendly way, and Bowie says he'll inform her of everything that happened as they search for eggs which makes Emma so happy she dances. Emma says in the confessional that she is happy that Bowie and Raj found each other and she misses being in love. Julia draws Bowie away and the two don't talk much from there. Witnessing Chase and Emma acting lovey-dovey, Bowie is visibly unhappy at the sight of it.
The Wheel of Vomit[]
From here, Bowie and Emma's friendship becomes rocky. Bowie and Emma are both annoyed at Julia's phone notifications. Bowie and Emma walk into the main lodge together, Emma asks him why he's chewing gum to which he responds that he is trying to get rid of the taste of Raj's mouth guard. Emma becomes distracted by Chase, and Bowie questions what is going on before being interrupted by Julia. Bowie tells Emma that he is going to put her in her place, Bowie asks Emma and Chase what is going on between them. In the cabins, Emma tells Bowie her and Chase are back together. Bowie is confused by this and things he hasn't done enough to earn her back. Emma is completely head over heels for Chase, and believes he's become the modern mature man she deserves.
After Millie walks out of the challenge, Bowie says to Emma that he is not surprised since Millie is not a real threat. He says to her that you have to thrive when there is a challenge, and that he'd prove it to her now. He eats a mouthful of the dish and after a second pukes it out barely avoiding Emma's head.
Paddle Field Earth[]
Bowie saw Julia with Priya and Millie and he believes that they outnumber himself and Emma now. So he asks Emma to flirt with Chase to join the alliance. Emma doesn't want to and suggests flirting with Zee instead, which Bowie responds to saying that they don't know how flirting works on Zee's planet. After getting Chase to join, Bowie determines with Emma and Chase that if they get Zee as a member they'd have majority so they convince him to join their alliances, not knowing that he was already allied with Julia, Priya and Millie. Later in the challenge Bowie, Emma and Chase observe Zee 'tricking the girls into believing bad advice'.
The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth[]
In the challenge, Bowie is on the pole next to Emma's pole. After Chris drops a delicious breakfast meal into the ocean, Emma screams immaturely and loudly, confusing Bowie a lot. Emma explains in the confessional that when she is hungry, she is in a bad mood. When Chase asks Emma out again and Emma says no and asks if he knows why, Bowie adds on, saying that he clearly doesn't know why Emma won't accept him. Bowie shows a confessional of Emma dancing that MK recorded and describes it as a car crash but less rhythmic. Later, Bowie votes for Emma's boyfriend, little to her knowledge at this point.
Tortoise Rigamortis[]
Bowie and Emma awkwardly eat in the mess hall again, with Bowie heavily implying that Emma was wasting his time when ranting about Chase. Bowie leaves Emma, as he does not want to be honest that she needs to break up with Chase. Julia tells Emma that Bowie voted off Chase, which leaves Emma confused. Bowie and Emma work together for the challenge, and Emma comes up with a plan to harm Millie, Priya, and Julia. She sends a message that vibrates their phones, thus waking up the lions. Emma stops Bowie from getting a picture before taking one herself. They then walk away, and Emma explains that Chase inspires her to come up with brilliant ideas, which makes Bowie feel awkward. Emma tries to get Bowie to confess about voting off Chase, but he isn't budging as of now. Bowie says that Chase is going to hurt everyone, including himself. Chris announces that Emma has gotten 10 points, so she lies to Bowie, saying her phone must've gone off. Emma then finds the raccoons and doesn't allow Bowie to get a photo. Emma believes it couldn't have gone any better. Emma asks if they can talk about Chase, and Bowie says later.
Emma and Bowie see a 'goose'. Bowie believes this can't be right; he checks and sees it is a Canada Goose. Emma says she is getting a selfie, but Bowie finds it too dangerous. While Bowie is looking for the goose, Emma decides to confront Bowie. Emma accuses Bowie of always hating Chase and agreeing to things she's said about him. Emma says that he wanted to keep them apart, and when they were together, he voted Chase off the island. Fed up, Bowie lashes out and insults Chase, saying that the only thing more pathetic than Chase is Emma for liking him and that when they got back together, he lost all respect for her. In the confessional, Bowie admitted that he tried to keep himself together for their alliance but then weakly stated that he nailed that chew out. Emma declares that their friendship and alliance are over.
After their fight, Bowie's forced to give Emma some space for the challenge. At the elimination ceremony, Bowie believes Julia's lies about the turtle and glares at Emma. She tries to defend herself, but it doesn't work. She asks Bowie if they're still allied, to which Bowie coldheartedly responds by saying that he needs some space, mimicking Emma's needs. Chef explains that Bowie stabbed Emma's back by voting for Chase, to which Emma glares at him. Bowie says that he doesn't regret doing it, and if given the chance, he would do it again. Bowie and Emma are in the bottom two, making it clear that they both voted for each other. The last marshmallow goes to Bowie, and Emma leaves on sour terms with Bowie.
