Overview[]
Chase and Emma get back together.
Chase and Emma dated each other before the show, and are both influencers that shared a live stream series called Three Guys and a Girl in a Beach House. Emma abruptly dumps Chase for cutting the brakes on her car and refusing to take accountability for it. They end up on Total Drama together as bitter exes, having a feud from the very beginning of the season. Chase tends to call Emma 'babe', and flirts with her despite them breaking up, much to Emma's consistent frustration. Emma gets so angry with Chase that it's all she thinks about for the majority of her screentime.
The two somehow make up and later break up again after Emma believed that Chase apologized for cutting her brakes. In Paddle Field Earth, Chase becomes a temporary member of Bowie and Emma’s alliance, believing that Emma told him that she couldn't survive without him. Chase and Emma get back together once again after Emma convinces herself that Chase sacrificed himself for her in The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth. Emma's bad decision making had everyone else, including Chris (who purposely brought them both on the show in the first place), disgusted at this toxic relationship.
In Total Drama Island (2024), they are broken up once again, presumably this time for good, as Emma had learned after watching The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth that Chase did not lose the challenge for her, but for the pizza that was offered during the challenge. Emma manages to throw Chase off his game in Taking It to the Rim Reaper, which as a result angers his teammates enough to vote him off.

Emma tries to attack Chase.
When Chase is introduced, we see in his audition that Emma was a prominent member of his livestream. He goes on a small vent session that Emma out of nowhere dumped him, so now his livestream is just called 3 Guys in a Beach House. When Chris reveals that Emma is also competing, Chase is shocked to hear this. Emma's audition reveals that she despises Chase and does not want to see him ever again. The instant Emma sees Chase, she is more angry than shocked. Chase calls Emma 'babe' and she leaps in the air to try and attack him. Chris stops her while Bowie enjoys her spiciness. Emma is super stressed before the challenge about Chase, so Bowie comforts her about him. He asks her about him but Emma does not want to talk about her past with Chase.
During the challenge, Chase accidentally takes Emma's advice which helps him get further. Emma gets frustrated, saying she was not talking to him and that he cannot call her 'babe' anymore. Chase questions why she is mad at him, which makes Emma increasingly angry. In pure rage, she exclaims how Chase cut the brakes on her car. However he does not understand why she is mad at him for that, and she explains that she crashed into a pet store which is why she is donating money to an animal hospital. Her failure to keep her focused costs her team the challenge. Emma believes that she messed up in the challenge purely due to Chase, and that from now on she'll only concentrate on helping her team win.
Pirates of the Cabbagean[]
Emma reveals to Bowie that she used to live in a beach house with Chase and his friends.
Before the challenge, Emma talks to Bowie about what Chase did. She explains that they used to do crazy stunts on a livestream, however Chase broke the number one rule in that the person performing a stupid act must be aware they are performing a stupid act, and it caused her to get super injured. Emma is very happy when Bowie offers to help her take revenge on Chase during the challenge. Throughout the challenge, instead of aiming for the ship, Emma and Bowie are trying to knock Chase off the ship. After the challenge, Emma is happy to have seen Chase injured and she enjoyed hurting him. However Chase took it the wrong way in assuming that she was checking him out and she was still madly in love with him.
Drown Town Abbey[]
Chase tries and fails to impress Emma and everyone else throughout the challenge. Emma laughs in the confessional and says that bears are her new favorite animal after one punches Chase. After Emma retrieves her number, she lands on Chase. She walks off saying that she thinks she sat in something, showing no care for Chase's injuries.
Numbskull Island[]
At breakfast, Chase has a small talk with Emma about the previous challenge and thinks that she was thinking about him, and then left. While trying to get the other team's skull along with Millie and Priya, Emma attempts to fire water at Chase, only for a shield to appear in front of him: blocking the shot. Chase thought Emma was being generous and waiting on purpose, not wanting to hurt him. Chase thanks Emma for failing to blast him with water in time and that they're like secret teammates, Emma is frustrated.
Jurassic Fart[]
Chase is still shown to have some worrying about Emma, as he asks Zee about a situation with cutting some brakes on a girl's vehicle, before being found by a raptor. When Chase was the first one to make it to the finish line for his team, he cries about feeling bad for leaving Zee behind, only for Emma to be annoyed, wanting an apology too. Emma wants Zee to tell Chase off and yells out in frustration when he doesn’t.
The Launchback of Notre Game[]
In the Confessional, Emma explains about Chase being scared of sling shot rides back at the amusement park, and that he chickened out. Emma is the only one having a gleeful laugh after hearing Chase's screams of terror.
Severe Eggs and Pains[]
Chase is happy to now be on the same team as Emma.
Emma is enraged when Chase runs over to her, ecstatic that they're finally on the same team when the teams merged. As Emma talks to Bowie, Chase approaches Emma again with the intent to partner up. Emma harshly refuses, saying that they'll never be partners, not here, not anywhere, not ever again. Chase, unable to get a clue, thinks that it’s starting to feel like it’s over between him and Emma. This causes Emma to shove him into a bush, telling him that they have been over for months. Emma is angered further when Bowie and Julia aren't coming back and assumes that Chase planned all this, which leaves Chase clueless. Emma tried to abandon him, but, Chase tells Emma that they have to stick together or else, they will have no shot of collecting a cassowary egg. Emma and Chase come across a cave and then they both got chased by cassowaries, up until they hide in a nest.
The two miraculously get back together.
After the cassowaries are gone, Emma realizes that there’s no way out of the cave and thinks that this is the end. Chase offered her half a chocolate bar, only to drop it from being startled by a bird's screech sound. He apologizes for it, but Emma believes he apologized for cutting the brakes off her car. Emma kisses him, taking Chase back as her boyfriend. Once they got back together again, Emma spotted a hole in the ceiling of the cave and they quickly climbed out. Although they didn't get any eggs, they were happy to be alive and back together (with Chase winking at Julia). However, at the elimination ceremony, Chef tells the two that nobody really cares about their relationship and may even send them home for that.
The Wheel of Vomit[]
Chase and Emma's rekindling is short lived.
Ripper asks why Chase was in a happy mood this morning, he happily exclaims that he and Emma had a big make out session. During the middle of the challenge, they both feed each other "Chef's hair croissants". Emma happily lays on Chase's chest, delighted that he apologized for crashing her car. But then he reveals that he was actually sorry for dropping half the candy bar in the birds nest from the previous episode. Emma is furious and dumps him all over again, Chase has a moment of spite as he tries to gross her out. In a matter of seconds the conversation devolved to them both attempting to make the other throw up. Then when they got closer to one another, Chase thought they were going to "make out" again which made Emma hurl at the thought. They puke on each other and are disqualified from the game. After Chef explains that their relationship is more disgusting then the meals served, Emma said the relationship was over and proceeded to vote for him at the elimination ceremony. Chase was surprised, believing that it means something when two people vomit on each other. Once Chase receives the marshmallow at the elimination ceremony, Emma growls in dissatisfied rage.
Paddle Field Earth[]
Emma reluctantly asks Chase to join her and Bowie's alliance.
Emma is forced to ask Chase to join in on her and Bowie's alliance. When Emma was having trouble with some flying fish, Chase quickly comes in and tells her that if they used their paddles, they could slap the fish away. Emma slightly agrees Chase's idea saying it's "perfect", much his amazement. As Chase pretends to play baseball, he hits a fish high in the air, but ends up accidentally sinking Emma's canoe with it. Emma gets very angry with Chase and starts beating him up with a fish. After Emma gets tired from beating up Chase again, a bear appears from under the water and throw them toward land. They both found themselves surrounded by more bears. Chase quickly tells Emma to play dead so that the bears would think they had died. Chase's plan had worked a little too well, as the bears dogged up a grave for them and barred them in it. Luckily, Zee managed to distract them by throwing a fish toward shore, with Chase thanking Zee. Chase and Emma continue on. As Emma was talking, Chase thought he heard something and kept shushing her, until they came to a waterfall and fell down. The two ex's found themselves along with the other contestants surrounded by Alligators/Crocodiles. Luckily, they were able to escape thanks to them bouncing Julia around. As the two and the other players reach some water glaciers where the mountain was, they all thought it was a pretty view. Chase thought it was romantic and grabs Emma's hand, only for her to take it back. When Chase got stuck in a water glacier, it shot him up into the air toward the mountain, only for him to land in the honey bee pit. He weakly asks Emma for help. She then states in the Confessional if she felt bad for him and if she should help him or not. At the elimination ceremony, Chef refers to Emma as Chase's boyfriend which she denies. Chase said the jury wasn't out yet, but Emma counters that she's the jury. Nonetheless, when Zee joined both alliances and revealed his plan to vote Chris off, the two formed a truce agreeing that it was impossible and stupid and voted Zee off like the other campers.
The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth[]
During the pole challenge, Chase attempts to use his "Chase Charm" to make Emma love him again. It fails, it only gets Emma aggravated whenever he spoke to her along with flirtatiously asking if they wanted to get back together. When Chase talks about the time he had been "selfless" to Emma, she angrily tells him he had done all of them stupidly and without any regard to the feelings and safety of everyone but himself. Later into the challenge, Emma is about to fall off her pole: Chase suddenly gets a whiff of pizza. He loses himself and knocks Millie and Julia off their poles and into the water. Chase leaped into the air exclaiming, "I love you!", with Emma watching in amazement. Once she had won, she looked at Chase sweetly, believing he had finally done something nice for her for once. At the elimination ceremony, Chase was eliminated. He tells Emma to have a nice life as he thought it was goodbye for good. But then she runs over to him and kisses him again and telling him she'll see him soon, calling him her boyfriend. As Chase makes his last confessional, he celebrates over getting "free pizza" first and foremost. He then settles down and acknowledges that he got Emma back too. He doesn't understand why but shrugs it off, not knowing why girls do anything.
Tortoise Rigamortis[]
Julia uses the fact that Bowie voted for Chase to break his friendship with Emma. Once Emma learns about this, she defends her boyfriend and gets mad at Bowie for always disliking Chase, agreeing with her whenever she badmouthed him and voting him out. Their dispute about Chase causes a rift between Bowie and Emma, effectively ending their friendship.
Magma Cum Laude[]
Chase and Emma spend most of the finale kissing. They kiss on the failure benches, inside a confessional, and during the final Campfire Ceremony, including a dance party at the end. While in a confessional, Chase claims the winner should be a guy, earning a shocked reaction from Emma.
Total Drama Island (2024)[]
The Pink Painter Strikes Again[]
Emma doesn't want to talk to Chase, as it's revealed they have broken up again between the seasons.
Chase and Emma return to the season having broken up once again, apparently for good this time, as Chase tries to talk to Emma, but she refuses to let him talk. In the confessional, Chase said that things between him and Emma were going great until she watched The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth, where she learned that Chase threw the challenge for the pizza and not her.
Taking It to the Rim Reaper[]
Emma, being aware of Chase's weaknesses, uses it against him by prompting him to record the best intro ever for his slide during the challenge. This successfully makes Chase too busy recording for the entire challenge, causing his elimination.
Choosin' for a Bruisin'[]
Axel comments on how Emma "can't stop making out" with the guy who cut her breaks, referring to Chase. When Emma has to answer the final question for team Rat Face, she gets Chase and is upset because of it. When thinking, she compliments his hair and knows the answer, which was the first question she actually knew the whole game.

- This is the fourth pair of contestants to know each other prior to the show; the other pairs are Katie and Sadie, Duncan and Mike, Amy and Samey and Raj and Wayne.
- They were eliminated in back-to-back episodes in Total Drama Island (2023).

- According to Terry McGurrin, Chase and Emma were based on one of the typical high school couples anyone has known in their lives that they pray they don't get back together every time they broke up only for them to get back together.
