The Hunt for Ronin was a series of attacks by the Tracksuit Mafia against Ronin. Originally led by Maya Lopez with the goal of killing Ronin, Kingpin took charge and led the Tracksuits against Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. The Tracksuits were defeated by them and Lopez, who defeated Kazi Kazimierczak and shot Kingpin, ending the conflict against Ronin.

During his ongoing campaign of violence, Ronin was tipped off about their base of operations from an informant working under Wilson Fisk who wanted William Lopez amd the other upper management of the Tracksuit Mafia dead. Ronin was sent to Fat Man Auto Repair, where he massacred the Tracksuits. Maya Lopez came to the building and saw Ronin escaping through the window. She ran to her father to see him in his final moments, and he soon succumbed to his wounds. As a result of Ronin's massacre, the remaining Tracksuit members formed an intense desire for vengeance against Ronin, including Lopez, who wished to avenge her father.[2]
