The Massacre of the Tracksuit Mafia was an attack on the Tracksuit Mafia members stationed at Fat Man Auto Repair, orchestrated by Ronin after receiving an anonymous tip from Wilson Fisk. The massacre wiped out the Tracksuits' upper management, including lieutenant William Lopez, thereby allowing Fisk to fully control the organization.

In 2018, Clint Barton lost his family due to the Snap. As a result, Barton became grief-stricken and angry, vowing to kill as many criminals as he could because he didn't deem them worthy of having survived.[2] To that end, he became a ruthless samurai-like vigilante called Ronin and destabilized many criminal organizations around the world.[3]

Ronin began hunting in New York City, which was the home of different criminal organizations, including the Tracksuit Mafia.[3] Kingpin, a powerful crime boss in New York City and an ally of the Tracksuits, tipped Ronin off about the location of one of the lieutenants, William Lopez, who along with other upper management was stationed at Fat Man Auto Repair.[4] As Ronin fought through the Tracksuits, he found Lopez and attacked him with his sword, mortally wounding him. Simultaneously, Maya Lopez, who had returned to the auto shop, saw Ronin escaping through a window.[3]
