The Trial of the Chicago 7 2020
For his second directorial effort, Aaron Sorkin went into the archives, reviving a script that was long thought abandoned.
By happenstance, its journey has brought it into a world reliving many of the issues it addresses. Progressive voices fighting against the Democratic establishment, police brutality (ACAB!) and state-sanctioned assassinations are all pushed to the forefront of a slick, entertaining, but sometimes frustratingly centrist story that's sure to make a lot of old white dudes feel good about themselves, a la…

A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote 2020
Very nice and very sweet. Although once again they completely ignore that the Hartfield’s Landing episode makes no sense canonically.
Ah well. I love this show and these people. And I believe that we will win.

Finally, a great new movie.

Cristin Milioti has a weird track record at weddings!

Any opinion I have on this other than “it was shot well” and “really good songs” is at best stupid because I’m not big into stage musicals.
Especially when it feels like there’s a song being sung every second, so something like 1776 is probably going to be the revolutionary war/early America musical I go to in the future.
Lots of NY love tho 💞

Da 5 Bloods 2020
National Association for Black Veterans
Bloods don’t die. They multiply.
After seeing this and Malclom X within a few weeks of each other I have a question to ask: why the fuck hasn't Delroy Lindo been in bigger stuff than the Point Break remake in the last 5 years?
If he doesn't feel like it, that's one thing, but if he isn't getting those kind of offers? Hollywood's about to catch some serious hands.
Overall, I really…
