It's one thing to want to put your own spin on a classic story. It's another thing entirely to not understand what made the story great in the first place.
My last direct-to-video DC movie. They're bad!

The animation is balls compared to what it could/should be, the dialogue is incredibly lame, the changes they made are either flat-out weird or cynically done to add more action and the amount of puns/illusions to Harvey becoming Two Face made me want to kill myself. Oh you’re of two minds on something Harvey?? Such clever writing!!
After Hush, I have no faith they’re actually going to keep it to the original killer, which is exactly what you want from…
It’s Scott Pilgrim, but stupid.
Daniel Radcliffe is legitimately great tho. Gotta support my man.

The most puzzling thing about Jon Stewart's second film Irresistible is that it's nothing like him. It's not clever, empathetic, insightful or, even though the twist tries to convince you otherwise, informative. Instead, Irresistible is a movie with an identity crisis.
The one thing that could have saved the movie is Carrell, who unfortunately is doing the usual schtick. His character doesn't come within 25 miles of being likable, which is a…
This proved once and for all that adapting Watchmen was possible, and perhaps necessary, no matter what that grump Alan Moore says.
It also proved that the person tasked with adapting it needed to understand the story better than Snyder seems to here.
Maybe one day.
Lmaooooo. Comrade. Failures of capitalism. Stalin getting laser-eyed to death. “America First!” This was ridiculous.
On the one hand, I really appreciate these DC animation movies for bringing classic graphic novels to life in a different medium.
On the other, they take great stories and adapt them seemingly as cheaply as possible, which shows in the final product. Red Son is the latest example of that. It’s not as awful as Hush from last year, but it’s also not as…
I feel like there’s an untapped “infinite money cheat” in Hollywood if someone made a career of remaking romcoms with semi-creepy loglines into full-fledged horror movies.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I know it wouldn’t fit tonally, but I wanted more “what the fuck was that? what the fuck was that?” and replying “yeah, I’m from San Francisco” to people saying weird shit James Badge Dale than the boring formercopwitadeadsonthatsmokesanddrinks James Badge Dale.
Freaky! But much too long!
When I think about the Kennedy assassination, there’s one unsettling thought among the many this incident brings to the surface, that has disturbed me for most of my life now.
The person who fired the shot that killed the President of the United States in the middle of the day in Texas, an event that would shape the course of human history, bending into a dark new direction, will never be known. Someone, somewhere may have dug a hole, or…
Michelle 👏 Yeoh 👏
This definitely registers as one of the more fluffy and fun Bond movies, but it’s also one that’s aged especially well given the subject matter.
