Walter Joseph Cummings (1916-1999) was a federal judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.[1]
Cummings was nominated by President Lyndon Johnson on July 11, 1966, to a new seat created by 80 Stat. 75; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 10, 1966, and received commission the next day. He served as chief judge from 1981-1986. He served until his death on April 24, 1999.[1]
