James August Comiskey (1926-2005) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Comiskey was nominated by President Lyndon Johnson on January 16, 1967, to a new seat created by 80 Stat. 75; he was confirmed by the Senate on March 2, 1967, and received commission on March 4, 1967. He served the Eastern District of Louisiana until his resignation in 1975.[1] Comiskey was succeeded in this position by Morey Sear.
