Trivia[]
As of 2021, marketing and merchandise have gradually begun to phase out the name due to the negative connotations of the word "slave". As a result, the ship is now only referred to as either the Firespray or simply "Boba Fett's Starship".
In the Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the Slave I ship was destroyed on the planet Florrum but Hondo Ohnaka had salvage the ship and painted his pirate gang logo on the ship and used it to fight off General Grievous to save Ahsoka Tano and several younglings. In an unfinished Clone Wars arc, Boba Fett was going to reclaim the Slave I before using it in another arc that was input in the Dark Disciple novel.
In Legends, Boba Fett didn't reclaim his Slave I ship, but replaced it with Slave II, a modified Pursuer-class enforcement ship, then Slave III, and finally Slave IV, an Amphibious Interstellar Assault Transport/infantry (AIAT/i) gunship.
Also in Legends, Jango's first ship before the Slave I was the Jaster's Legacy, an AIAT/i gunship, which his son Boba later used as the Slave IV.
