I recently had the unexpected pleasure of seeing an interview conducted by Aaron Maté with Stephen F. Cohen, which for various reasons was not aired. As readers may know, Professor Cohen died this year, and this interview was conducted approximately a year before his death. In it, he discusses passionately the “democratization” of Russia, and compares Navalny as being analogous to the probably mostly unknown in America Libertarian Presidential candidate Gary Johnson.

I am very grateful to Aaron and the Grayzone for this gift, and urge readers to view it A.S.A.P. because perhaps the Grayzone will also be “de-platformed” from YouTube.

Earlier, Aaron interviewed Professor Cohen’s wife, and it was moving as well.

Professor Cohen’s final book, War with Russia?, will be published in a revised edition later in 2021. I can think no better way to honor his memory is to read his final work, and learn from his vast knowledge and wisdom.
