CLASS/TIME/SUBJECT: 2 CERDAS/ 09:50 AM - 10:50 AM/ ENGLISH FOCUSED SKILL: WRITING THEME: WORLD OF KNOWLEDGE TOPIC: UNIT 9: At The Beach LANGUAGE FOCUS: Communicate basic information clearly. CONTENT STANDARD: Main Skill: Writing 4.2 Communicate basic information intelligibly for a range of purposes in print and digital media. Complementary Skill: Reading 3.2 Understand a variety of linear and non-linear print and digital texts by using appropriate reading strategies LEARNING Main Skill: Writing 4.2.3 Write short familiar instructions. STANDARDS: Complementary Skill: Reading 3.2.3 i) Reread a word, phrase or sentence to understand meaning ii) Ignore unknown words in order to understand a phrase or sentence. LEARNING By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: OBJECTIVES: 1) complete 3 out of 4 sentences in a different situation.
2) complete 4 out of 6 questions correctly in the worksheet given.
PRE-LESSON: (15mins) 1. Teacher greets pupils. e.g., “Good morning class.” 2. Teacher instructs pupils to open text book page 107. 3. Teacher instructs pupils observe and try to complete the sentences of 4 different situations. 4. Teacher read and discuss the answers. 5. Teacher explains how to use different respond in a daily conversation. WHILE-LESSON: 1. Teacher distributes a worksheet and pupils need to (30mins) complete it within 15mins. 2. Teacher explains how to do it and give an example. 3. Teacher discus the answer together.
POST-LESSON: (15mins) 1. Pupils summarize the lesson.
2. Class end.
