The Battle of Lessu, remembered as the Hammer of Lessu,^[4] was the final engagement of the Battle of Ryloth^[1] fought in 21 BBY during the Clone Wars.^[3] Acting as the culmination of the Confederacy of Independent Systems's occupation of the planet Ryloth and the Galactic Republic's liberation effort, the Republic's 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps under Jedi General Mace Windu allied with the local Twi'lek Resistance under General Cham Syndulla. Together, Windu's and Syndulla's forces stormed the planetary capital of Lessu City and reclaimed it from Emir Wat Tambor, who agreed to an unconditional surrender.^[1]
