Star Wars: On the Front Lines is a canon reference book chronicling the many battles of the Star Wars galaxy. It was written by Daniel Wallace, produced by becker&mayer!, and published by Titan Books on July 18, 2017.
Publisher's summary[]
From the Clone Wars and the Rebellion to the clashes with the First Order, the galaxy is defined by war. Star Wars: On the Front Lines chronicles the tactics, weapons, and armor used in pivotal battles along with profiling acts of valor. By focusing on elements of the battles that occurred "off screen," this collection brings the struggles faced by ground soldiers and starfighter pilots to life like never before and places the reader on the battle lines.[2]
Development[]
It comprises 128 pages, and was originally slated for publication in the fall of 2016 by becker&mayer!.[2] As of September 8, 2016, Wallace was still writing pieces for the book, and guessed that it would not be released before late 2017 at the earliest.[3]

Continuity[]
- Page 57 incorrectly states that V-19 Torrent starfighters were deployed late into the Clone Wars, even though they had been around since 22 BBY, the first year of the conflict.[4]
- The Battle of Jakku section states that Grand Moff Randd commanded Imperial forces from the Acidity, contradicting Aftermath: Empire's End, which states that Randd commanded Imperial forces from the Super Star Destroyer Ravager.[5]
- Clone Commander Ponds is re-designated as "CC-6454."
- The book states the Battle of Starkiller Base takes place 30 years after the Battle of Yavin. The battle actually takes place 34 years after the Battle of Yavin.[6]
- The book states that rather than becoming a part of the Imperial Navy, Jan Dodonna retreated to his homeworld of Commenor. This contradicts A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy and Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide, which both state that Dodonna served in the Imperial Navy.[7][8]
