Role in episode[]

When SpongeBob can't find Gary, he goes inside a photo frame of his parents' house which leads to this location. When SpongeBob arrives, he sees a shadow of Gary and meets a crazed, bearded old man named Wally. Wally says that he has lived in SpongeBob's walls for many years, and tells SpongeBob that he was a handyman who got trapped inside the walls while the wallpaper was being installed.

SpongeBob suggests that Wally should find a way out of this location, but Wally says there is no escape and offers a tour of the location. Wally shows SpongeBob and Gary his mold garden which was under attack by sea urchins. Wally then shows him the "magic fridge," which is actually SpongeBob's refrigerator. Wally then shows SpongeBob his "magic medicine cabinet," which is actually SpongeBob's, and grabs SpongeBob's toothbrush and cleans his nose.

When SpongeBob wants to know how easy life is in Wallhalla, Wally tells him that there is one problem: There is a creature who walks around with squeaky shoes, shrieks with delight, and has an ear-piercing laugh that drives him mad. SpongeBob and Wally have a friendship feast, and they proceed to eat mushrooms and drink kelp juice. SpongeBob thanks Wally and says that he and Gary need to find a way home, but Wally doesn't know what SpongeBob is talking about because they pronounce Gary's name differently. SpongeBob laughs at this and Wally finds out that SpongeBob is the creature that was driving him mad. Wally chases him in rage while knocking over pipes and boards that reinforce the walls while Patrick enters SpongeBob's house. After the chase, SpongeBob and Wally break through the medicine cabinet and exit Wallhalla. Wally then cries that this location was destroyed.
