Song Stones are turquoise stone panels that serve as a new gating mechanism in Phoenotopia: Awakening. After the Bandit's Flute is obtained, player is able to activate Song Stones by playing a specific note sequence next to them.

Recurring Song Stones[]

Song Stones that bear certain symbols require playing the corresponding Song nearby to activate, and the Song has to be learned by Gail first. There are 3 such Song Stone symbols in total:

Puzzle Song Stones[]

SongStoneP

Song Stones that bear a treble clef symbol require playing the note sequence that can often be known by solving a nearby riddle, and Gail does not need to learn any Song prior. While they are never properly described by any character, the puzzle in Franway - Atai serves as a good tutorial to this mechanics. These sequences will not be used outside the specific puzzles that they are for.

Ancient Song Stone[]

AncientVaultGate

In SPHERE and Ancient Vault, there are Song Stone panels that react only to the Spheralis. Depending on the specific room these panels are in, the effect ranges from activating platforms to firing lasers from certain wall traps.

Each Megalith also has a randomly chosen note symbol depicted at the bottom when approached. When 7 depicted notes are played with the Spheralis, the Megalith will be disabled temporarily.

Shooting Faun Fountain[]

ShootingFaunFountain

Shooting Faun Fountain is a special fountain found in the alleyway of Daea City's inn. The fountain would shoot out 20 RIN for each time a unique Song is played nearby. After all 6 Songs have been played, an extra 50 RIN will burst out of the fountain as well, yielding a total of 170 RIN.
