Cat

Cat is a new type of creature introduced in Phoenotopia: Awakening. They are small house pets with a white coat and orange spots. Each cat appears to be sleeping, although the meowing noises they make when petted signify otherwise. There are a total of nine cats that can be found throughout different settlements, and petting them all (using same button as hugging and pulling crates) is required for obtaining the Badge "Cat Petter".

Trivia

• Each time a cat is petted, there is a small chance that a "bork" sound will come out instead of the expected "meow"
• Since the cat in Wheat Road spawns only upon breaking the crate, it is theoretically possible to spawn the cat on the stairs instead if player manages to move the crate there
• Thomas seems to really like cats, judging by the amount of cat-themed furniture in his laboratory and how his portrait is featured in the relevant Badge
• It is a common myth that cat has 9 lives, which might be why there are 9 cats in total in the game
• The cats' bicolor pattern with orange spots on the tail makes their subspecies matching closest to a type of Seychellois Septieme, and their breed closest to a Turkish Van or Harlequin.
