This isn’t really venting although kind of a status update cause I’m gonna take a break from logging anything today but I really wanted to announce a new project I’m working, as much as I love Sentients, I’m really excited to share something new with you guys. I’m working on a movie script that I finally resumed work on after the stress of college and I want to present the whole idea (without getting too much into spoilers)

Ella, A young woman known for making an online presence (as a speed runner let’s player named EllaSpeed) is on her way to a convention that’s happening, she’s only taking a car cause all of the flights and trains are booked. She gets DMs of a supposed “fan” of hers and the fan goes into immense detail about her personal life which makes her uncomfortable. Then she hears reports of murders of people she is related too, the killer leaving behind letters related to her. It’s not too long before she feels like she’s being watched as the crime scenes seem to follow a path towards her location. The story is told entirely through her perspective so not only do we barely see the killer/stalker, but we don’t even see the murders, just our protagonist watching videos of the bodies being discovered. I can easily imagine a scene that’s a mixture between the Ben Gardner scene from Jaws and the Birthday Party scene from Signs for when she’s seeing the murder reports (both of those are some of my favorite movie jumpscares imo). The overall inspiration is Perfect Blue mixed in with a bit of Duel

As for the title, my good friend Stonks thought of an ominous title and I couldn’t thank him enough for this idea….
