Sirens in Hooky look a lot like traditional mermaids, with a human upper half and the tail of a fish. However, sirens look a lot creepier, with sharp teeth and fingernails, scaly skin and bright yellow eyes. They have webbed ears and fingers, and spikes coming out of their shoulders. They tend to be dark colours like grey and black. There are only female sirens as we have not seen any males.
When they use their powers, they can take on a more human appearance, with clear skin, fewer spikes, and rosy tones. However, the only person who sees this 'more beautiful' version of themselves is their prey.
Environment[]
Sirens tend to live in caves and have an aversion to daylight. They live in large groups and take up a lot of space. Since they live in water, they need to live in a cave low enough, and with enough water, like in the Spiral Rock. They also need to be close enough to a human city or pathway, since they feed on human flesh. There doesn't seem to be a lot of plants or other fish in their environment.
Magical properties[]
Sirens have very powerful singing voices and can seduce any target with just their voice. They can also manipulate their target's sense of reality and hypnotize them.
