Petrova Porskoff was a Russian witch and Chaser. The Porskoff Ploy was named after Porskoff, and the likelihood is that Porskoff invented that Quidditch tactic.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Petrova is a Russian surname, not a given name. Additionally, surnames ending in -off (Westernised spelling of the traditional -ov suffix) are male, while those ending in -ova (like Petrova) are female.
- It is possible Petrova Porskoff was educated at Koldovstoretz, Russia's main wizarding school.
