Ryotaro Tanaka was a Japanese wizard who was the Japanese National Quidditch team's Chaser and Captain during the four-hundred and twenty-second Quidditch World Cup, in 1994.

During the 1996–1997 school year, Tanaka's Chocolate Frog Card could be won by beating Scott Ancrum at an Exploding Snap challenge.
