Ariel "Speedy" Singleton was an American witch who played as Seeker on the American National Quidditch team.[1]
During the 1996–1997 school year, Singleton's Chocolate Frog Card could be won by beating Luna Lovegood in a duelling challenge.[2]
Etymology[]
The name "Ariel" means "lion of God" in Hebrew. In the Old Testament it is used as another name for the city of Jerusalem. Shakespeare used it as the name of a spirit in his play The Tempest (1611), and one of the moons of Uranus bears this name in his honour.
