Alasdair Maddock was a wizard and former Chaser for the Montrose Magpies, who had what some people believed to have been a rather unsettling obsession with Muggle sports.[2]
Biography[]
He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during his formative years, where he obtained a Quidditch trophy.[1]
At some point, he began playing Quidditch for the Montrose Magpies, taking the position of Chaser. He once tried to play football "for a laugh" in Dorset. He was at one time suspended from the Montrose Magpies for employing basketball techniques during a game against the Caerphilly Catapults.[2] During another match, he was the cause of his team losing against the Kenmare Kestrels for attempting to use football techniques during the match; his error allowed the Kesterl's Seeker Aidan Kiely to catch the Golden Snitch. Cormack McLeod, his manager, told the Daily Prophet that he would turn him into a jellyfish one day.[3] He was later fired by McCormack for having been caught playing golf.[4]
