"The A-maize-ing Maze" is the second segment of the sixteenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hailey's On It!

Synopsis[]

Hailey and Beta ditch Scott to complete a complicated corn maze on their own.

Plot[]

Hailey, Scott, and Becker are on their way to a corn maze. Despite Scott's enthusiasm, Hailey appears reluctant to bring him along. It is revealed that Scott is notoriously bad at mazes as he resorts to unusual measures such as talking to centipedes, smelling the ground, and listening to corn. Hailey and Beta agree to "accidentally" leave Scott and Becker behind in the maze and complete it on their own so that they can knock off the next list item, much to Beta's joy. This ends up being way easier as Scott and Becker are quick to run off deep into the maze and leave Hailey and Beta to complete the maze on their own.

Upon coming across a do not trespass sign, Hailey believes it is meant to throw them off and enters through the area of the maze, evidently going completely off the map. Hailey and Beta end up in a clearing with a scarecrow and try to move away from it, only to repeatedly end up back at it. Beta blames Hailey for getting them lost and tries to use logic to leave the area, but this fails too. Rain and lack of provisions, due to Hailey and Patricia mixing up their bags, causes Hailey to become despondent over their situation. Soon, Hailey and Beta admit that they miss Scott and his weird methods of navigating a maze.

Hailey decides to record a message on her phone admitting her love to Scott, but the message does not go through due to the bad reception. Hailey realizes that Patricia's things (soda bottle, tablets, and cards) can be used for something and creates a primitive rocket that she launches in the air to send a signal. They are found by Scott, Becker, and farmer Felicia and brought back in the latter's crop stormer with Becker driving a destroying the scarecrow. Scott reveals that he and Becker completed the maze easily and that it was Hailey who was bad at mazes due to always trying to make "shortcuts". Hailey's message goes through to Scott's phone, but she destroys it so that he does not see the message. Becker becomes suspicious of the scarecrow after having destroyed it.
