"Escape Doom" is the second segment of the fifth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hailey's On It!
Synopsis[]
Hailey must lead her friends out of an Egyptian-themed escape room that chaos bots have rigged to crush.
Plot[]
Hailey once again unintentionally outwits A.C. at a bean counter station and wins the beans for Scott. She reveals her plan to cross another item off her list which is to complete an escape room and Scott plans to invite Kristine to join them as well. A.C. overhears them and has sinister plans. At the escape room, Hailey, Scott and Kristine learn that A.C. checked out the Egyptian themed room before them, but the employee Cody informs him that there needs to be at least three people to do the challenge. A.C. reluctantly agrees to do the room with the other three in an effort to prove his superior intelligence rather than Hailey's suggestion of putting his rivalry aside.
The group go into the first room where A.C. manages to quickly solve all the riddles in a matter of seconds. Expecting to get to the exit, they instead end up in the second room, much to A.C.'s concern and Kristine's horror as she had to leave her phones behind. The walls suddenly begin closing in on them and Hailey calls for a hint. However, Cody has gone to the restroom and gets locked in, believing that he is in his own escape room. The Chaos Bots have started hacking into the console, but Beta arrives to fight them off. He informs Hailey that she needs to lead, scaring her as the last time she tried to lead anything lead to a friend of hers "disappearing", though Scott informs her that he moved away.
A.C. admits that he cheated by studying the first room and Hailey takes control of the situation by having everyone, including A.C., assigned to certain tasks so they can escape. They finally manage to put together a scepter and escape through a hidden door in the floor which takes them back to the lobby. At the same time, Cody manages to escape the restroom and congratulates the kids on finally finding a way out. A.C. apologizes for cheating, but Hailey commends him for his ability to memorize things and he agrees, before trying to take credit for being the "savior" of the room. The kids get together for a group photo, but it gets ruined by a mummy prop that scares them.
