"It's All Gonna Be OK-Pop" is the second segment of the tenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series, Hailey's On It!

Synopsis

Hailey races to find her little brothers, Dwayne and Johnson, after she loses them at a K-pop concert.

Plot

Hailey and Scott are trying to film a dance video so they can see the k-pop group Seoul M8S and cross off the next item on Hailey's list, which is to meet band member Cute Jun. During the dance, Scott does a comical flip and crashes into Hailey's book shelf. Beta records it and posts it online where it gets millions of views. Because of this, Hailey and Scott successfully win the tickets to see the show. However, Patricia tells Hailey that she cannot go because she has to babysit her younger siblings Dwayne and Johnson as she will be out for a meeting while Kai attends parent teacher conference. After they leave, Hailey concludes that she can simply take Dwayne and Johnson with them.

Hailey and Scott are able to bring the twins along (children under five get in for free) and make their plan to get noticed by Cute Jun of the group. Everything goes according to plan with the band members coming out and singing their song while Hailey and Scott do everything they can to get Cute Jun to notice them. However, Dwayne and Johnson get lost and proceed to crawl about the concert. Hailey and Scott go searching for the two and while crowd surfing, spot Patricia in the crowd also enjoying the concert. Hailey is flummoxed by this, but manages to successfully locate the twins who are on stage. She and Scott manage to join them and get Cute Jun's attention, crossing off the item on the list.

After the show, Hailey and Scott are caught by Patricia who scolds them for putting Dwayne and Johnson in danger, until Hailey points out that she lied about what she was doing for the evening. Hailey instead has more respect for her mother after initially believing that she was a buzzkill and did not know how to have fun. Patricia admits that she likes to let off some steam sometimes and promises to keep their concert going a secret. Everyone returns home with Kai arriving late, none the wiser to the events that happened. When the twins proceed to dance after seeing Seoul M8S having done the same thing, Kai brushes it aside, as Hailey and Patricia join the twins in dancing as well.

Cast

Trivia

  • This episode (along with its sister episode "Catching Felines") was supposed to air on June 17, 2023 (and be released early on June 9, 2023 on Disney+ & DisneyNow), but it ended up getting delayed to July 8, 2023. This is evidential in the fact that Hailey's thinks her mother is a buzzkill despite the fact that by this point, Hailey should have already known about her past as a dancer in "Dance Like No Mom is Watching".
