"Catching Felines" is the first segment of the tenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hailey's On It!
Synopsis[]
Hailey befriends Scott's little sister, but their friendship is tested by two escaped wild cats.
Plot[]
Hailey asks Beta to give her an easy item to do so that she and Scott can get Wild Katz sneakers the following day. Beta agrees and tells her that she needs to make a female friend, something that perplexes Scott. Hailey mentions a girl who moved away four years ago, while Scott points out that she could easily befriend Kristine, unaware of the underlying conflict for Hailey, but she turns both ideas down. Becker, Scott's younger sister, is obsessed with doing dangerous and outlandish things, but Hailey suggests that she could make her her new female friend, despite Scott thinking that she may be too wild for her. Hailey is further motivated as she refuses to be Kristine's best friend.
Hailey goes to see Becker and propositions being her friend and hanging out with her. While confused by the gesture, she ultimately accepts for Scott's sake. The first thing they agree to do together is build a bird house, only for Becker to blow it up, something she readily enjoys. When Hailey mentions that she is getting Wild Katz, Becker informs her that she could get them for her and Scott without them having to wait in line as "Bonesaw owes me a favor". Hailey thanks Becker, but the very next day, Hailey wakes up to discover two pumas in her front yard, frightening her and Scott who is baffled as to why Becker would do such as a thing.
Hailey and Scott manage to wrangle the two pumas to take them back to the wildlife preservation, but Hailey gets a call from Becker asking why the shoes she got them are destroyed. Realizing that Becker did indeed fulfill her promise, the two are distracted and accidentally release the pumas, only to get chased by them. Becker arrives to rescue them and has her friend "Chainsaw" get the pumas back (Bonesaw worked at retail). Becker is slightly offended that Hailey doubted her, but she accepts their apology. Hailey tells Becker that she would not mind hanging out with her again and she and Scott leave to get the shoes. Becker believes that Hailey is crushing on her and tells Chainsaw that she wants to kiss her now.

- This episode (along with its sister episode "It's All Gonna Be OK-Pop") was supposed to air on June 17, 2023 (and be released early on June 9, 2023 on Disney+ & DisneyNow), but it ended up getting delayed to July 8, 2023. This is evidential in the fact that Becker's appearance in this episode is treated as a proper introduction and Hailey being averse at the idea of being friends with Kristine despite befriending her in "Road Trippin'", something that was confirmed by series production secretary Camille Bautista.[1]
- Hailey was friends with a girl named Sophie from squirrel scouts, but to moved to Luxembourg 4 years ago.
- Becker wearing a hat and whip while saving Hailey and Scott is a reference to "Indiana Jones".
- Hailey tries to make a female friend at the store "Never 21" which is parody to the store "Forever 21" in real life.
- The Clothing Store Girl that Hailey tries to become friends with name was later revealed to be Destiny in later episodes.
