2023 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 6

I had some time, so I thought I would create yet another coffee card for the 2023 Fall/ Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop going on; Day 6

I used another fun digi from LovelyPlanner.com.  This sheet of coffee cups has been my go-to for at least 2 years - maybe 3!  I adore the different sizes available.

I made [my favorite this year] a mini slimline base, inked on a moon, and some hills, stamped some trees, and added some splatter of "snow".

The sentiment is an old freebie from Verve.  [I did look for it, but Julee - Verve, must have eliminated it].  I'm very happy with my Wintery coffee card.

2023 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 4

I used another FREE digi from LovelyPlanner.com.  Rather then having the Starbuck logo, I covered it with a different digi from Verve - [one I saved when Julee was still in business.]

I added some gold thread and a small cup [again Verve].  Yep, Day 4 done - See you tomorrow~

2022 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Hop - Last Day

And, its the last day of the Coffee Lovers Hop.  As expected, I had a great time joining in!

I used some self made circle stencils for the background.  I also went digging, and found awesome stamps from [OOB] Verve for the leaf images, and the sentiment.

I used the coffee cup die from CAS-ual Fridays for the cup.  I so adore this die!  It works perfectly for so many "decorated" type cups [using designer paper etc].  Really a shame it's not longer available.

That does it for me for this Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Hop.  I am off to peruse the [so many] link ups.  This hop is amazing with all the players!  Thanks Amy, Sponsors, and the team for hostessing another successful hop!

Lots of Fun Challenges

Wow there are so many awesome challenges out here in blogland!  I do like that I get emails letting me know what they are.

Let's start with the sketch from Paper Players #601.  Yea, I might have pushed it a tad, but it worked well for me and my card. - This WON HEADLINER!

I was inspired by the photo prompt over at Time Out Challenge #219, and I kept it "along the edge" [with a twist of the sea] for the AAA Card Challenge #220 (kind of where I might have pushed the sketch for Paper Players)

I also added this over at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; anything goes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went on to join in a few more challenges starting with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #546 and used the colors from Color Throwdown #703.

Rather then using paper circle die cuts, I went with a circle stencil. I do like the way it looks.  My butterfly is an older Spellbinders die.

This sentiment works for many situations, so into my stash it goes [for when I need it].

Thanks Challenges!  I had a great time 😀

Good Day of Challenges!

There are some fun challenges out here in blogland!  I joined in a few (more) today.

The first one is Peace on Earth #17 - be inspired by their mood board or a Christmas card, along with Krafty Chicks Challenge #615; Christmas.

I was loosely inspired by the 3rd photo.  I simply cut a few circles, sponged on color, added a topping with some gold thread, and lastly added a sentiment.

Oh yeah, I did add some white splatters too.

--------------------------------------------------

I went on to play in Freshly Made Sketches #529.

I'm hoping I got this close [enough].  Maybe not, but I was still inspired by the sketch.

I used some Verve products, and a few of the Tim Holtz Big Holiday Green Thinlits, a Hero Hearts Nesting Die, and some pearls to finish off the card.

That's it for the challenges today.  Thanks Challenges - I had fun as usual.

-------------------------------------------

This last card is a trial for me. I have to say I am thrilled with the end result!  While this card took me about 2 hours to make, it was worth it!  I'm sure my friend will like it too.

I went to PNGWING [I found this via a FB post], and downloaded this beautiful image twice.  I used one for the base on the card, and used some dies to cut the other one.  Using the "cut" template, I was able to line up the images perfectly!

Very happy with this end result!

Have a good week-end.  I'll be in my stamp room since they are forecasting 111°+, and I don't go outside with temps like that!

Just Us Girls Challenge #539 - Word Week

It's going to be a lovely gallery - all nice and bright.  My card is pretty bright too.

I started by taping off and sponging on the sun rays, and the water, then I stamped the leaves, and finally I stamped and die cut the sentiment.

I would tell you what companies products I used, but apparently everything I used has been discontinued, or the companies are out of business.  That said, I still enjoy using my "older" stamps.

Your turn.  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge and show us how you use sunshine on your card.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #183

It's my challenge this time for the ATCAS Challenge.  I hope you like the word :

I sponged a background panel using Distress Oxide inks; Blueprint Sketches, Wilted Violet, and Picked Raspberry.  Using images from Verve Bloom & Grow and Versafine Ink, I stamped the images.  I adore the starkness of the black ink for a lovely silhouette card.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Addicted to CAS Challenge blog and play along!  I can't wait to see your CAS silhouette cards!

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Touch of Green

It's my choice for this challenge topic.  Since we are so close to St Pat's Day, I thought a pop of green worked.  Plus, I need a March 17th birthday card.

I found some neutral colored designer paper, and used the leaves from an old Verve set.  I do like the pop of color against the neutrals.  Made for a perfect masculine card - just what I needed.

The green is more realistic with this photo...

Okay, your turn.  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge.  While the "pop of green" is an option, being a birthday card is not.  Hope to see you there....

Addicted to CAS Challenge #167

It's time for the Addicted to CAS Challenge.  This one is all about purple and pink.

Using a little Verve, I came up with this card.  Apparently I need to work on my masking :(.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Addicted to CAS Challenge and show us how you use purple and pink.  Remember to keep it clean and simple.

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Butterflies

This challenge is all about butterflies.

I do love me some bflies on a card! :)

I used some Verve stamps.  I really miss that company.

Your turn - come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  While butterflies are an option, being a birthday card isn't.

Just Us Girls Challenge #487 - Trend Week

I like this challenge.  The gallery should be pretty awesome too.

I had a colored panel that, to be honest, I wasn't real happy with my coloring, so it was just sitting there.  When I saw this challenge, I knew how I could use that colored panel!  Yep, I pulled out my MFT Hugs and cut it out.  I love it!  I used Verve's Heart to Heart for the heart and sentiment.  [Another great company that closed.]

Okay, your turn!  Use those bold letters and make a card.  Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge and play along!
