Just Us Girls Challenge #519 - Color Week

While there are so many ways to use these colors - I went with ink blending.  [Sometimes the mood just strikes right?]  Plus, I need [unfortunately] to stock pile some sympathy cards.

I used these lovely, [very old] stamps from Rubbernecker, and There She Goes [OOB].  I just chuckle at how old some of my stamps really are.  [I just can not get rid of them].  But then again, as long as I use them, saving them works for me!  Do you save your old stamps?

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to JUGS Challenge and show us how you use the colors!

Seize the Birthday Challenge

This challenge is all about sunshine.

So, I watched Kristina Warners YouTube video on color blending, and had to give it a try.  While she used Oxide inks, I used regular Distressed inks.  They blended beautifully too.

I love the way this resembles sunshine. Works for the challenge in my mind. :)  I used an old stamp set from Rubbernecker, and the sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays, Shenanigans.

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  Sunshine is optional, but it must be a birthday card.

Productive Day!

I am beginning to just love my Saturdays!  Yep, whole morning and little afternoon I have been getting inky!  Good times.

One Layer Wednesday -- off size card.  I went with the adorable 3x3 size.  I naturally had to make a set, along with a little holder -- love this size!  They are so perfect for those gift bags, or, they make wonderful small gifts.

I used a Cuttlebug leaf die and made a post it cut out, and then sponged using Memento New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves.  I just am loving the spritzing look lately, and don't ya know I had some green!  Eventually, I will make tiny envies.... and this will make another gift for me to give.

Less Is More 74 - use their header as inspiration.

I instantly thought of the Rubbernecker stamps I have never used (oh my!). [Garden Shrub, Flourish 05.  My music bars are from GKD Gleefully Yours. Great swirls and swishes, and goes perfectly with the LIM header.

I am rather happy with this card and I even still met the LIM requirement of lots of white!

AND, last but not least -- I am shooting for the Verve Sketch challenges [over at SCS] for the month. Even though, this is June 30th, Amber started the first July sketch today. I really enjoyed this sketch, and I do love using my [getting dusty] Verve stamps.  Added motivation is the winner for the month gets $100 shopping spree at Verve!  Yeah, I can handle that!

I used the fun Verve set, Carpe Cupcake.  Like I said, I really liked this sketch alot!  I am also happy with this card.  Might be a little to clean for Verve's "style", but I just am awful at doing vintage cards.   I like clean and this works for me!

I am done for the day.  Believe it or not I am going to the Magic Mike movie with my fellow co-workers.  This should be interesting since I could be a mom to ALL of them, including my boss [who is also going].  LOL - I'll let you know how this works out! [OMG :)]

JUGS #115 - Color

This week over at Just Us Girls is a color challenge of Kraft, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.  Even though my card looks red, it really is Cobbler --[ bad photo Vicki, bad photo :)]  I used a mixture of stamps - scroll is Rubbernecker Flourish 530-10, script is PTI Background Basics Text Style and the flower and leaves are Hero Arts Playful Flowers and Butterflies (dies included!)
I hope you pop over to JUGS and play - these are great colors!
