Seize the Birthday Challenge #289 - Critters

I'm not sure butterflies are considered cute, but they are critters, so I am going with my card.

I saw a butterfly on Pinterest with these colors and had to re-create them.  I love the end result.  I used the Hero Arts [older then dirt] butterfly stamp set with matching dies.

I also hot foiled the sentiment.  [I'm really trying to use/ improve my foiling.]

That's it for me.  Your turn - Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge #289, and play along.  While using cute critters is optional, being a birthday card is not.

Just Us Girls Challenge #570 - Word Week

I'm the Hostess for this week's challenge.  I hope you play along :)

For my valentine, I went with the typical red, but did make it a shaped card.   I used the cute fox from Hero Arts Playful Animals, along with some washi tape.

Basic, but I think it's cute. 😀

Okay, now it's your turn.  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge and show us your valentine.

On to Day 3 of the 2020 Fall Winter Coffee Hop.

Just Us Girls Challenge #561 - Word Week

For this week's challenge over at Just Us Girls, I am the Hostess.  I do love a graphic type card, and triangles say that to me!

So, this card did not turn out AT ALL what I had in mind, but ya know, I still like it.  I started with J McGuire's Laminating Stamping Techniques.  HA!  As par for my end result, it did not work like her's did.  As you can see, my ink smeared. [Yes, I "dried" it too].  That said, I rather liked that it kind of looked like snow - hence my card completely changed direction!

I ended up using the adorable Simon Says Large Gnome Wafer again this week.  I love this guy, and how you can totally change him up just by using different papers!  A very versatile die [IMO].  Plus, he is fun!  This card has a lot going on; it's a shaker [using STAMPlorations Blue Simmer Shaker Blends], framed [with 5 layers], with added triangles, some gems, and a Lawn Fawn Simply Winter Sentiment to finish off my card.

Alrighty then - your turn!  Please come over to JUGS Challenge and play along!  I'm looking forward to seeing how you use triangles.  Have fun~

Seize the Birthday Challenge - 1,2,3

1 die cut or punch, 2 colours (excluding neutrals), 3 embellishments (same or different)

I am in the Christmas card mode [so I have enough this season].  That said, I also have a friend who's birthday [bummer for her] is on Christmas.  Win for this challenge [bday card], and keeping my Christmas cards going on.

I used the Mod Tree die from Simon Says, added 3 red sequins, and stamped a hb sentiment from Hero Arts.  Easy peasy 😀, but I like it!

Your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along!  The 1,2,3 is optional, being a birthday card is not.  Have fun~

Just Us Girls Challenge #555 - Photo Inspiration

I really liked this inspiration photo a lot! Basic, lots of white, yep, I really like it! That said, I basically reproduced it. [Yeah, I do that with inspiration photos]

I used some gold thread, adhered the punched out stars onto it, and then adhered onto the card base.  I used the Hero Arts Joy Stamp & Cut set.

Fun times! :)

Your turn.  How does the photo inspire you?

Come show us your card over at the Just Us Girls Challenge Blog.

Just Us Girls Challenge #552 - Word Week

While we here in Arizona don't get the beautiful color changes of the leaves, I am looking forward to the cooler temperatures!  Meanwhile, I went with the colors I see in Arizona....

Yep, different shades of green! LOL  I used the retired Hero Arts Real Leaves stamp set. along with the Thank You die from Simon Says, and a sentiment from Simon Says Big Thanks Words.

I just love the font on the thanks.

Your turn.  Come on over to JUGS Challenge #552 and show us how you use leaves on your card.

Just Us Girls Challenge #548 - Trend Week

This is a unique challenge, and I like it!

As I was going through my dies, looking for the window die I have, I came across the one I used instead.  [I don't know, maybe this would be framing, but I am going with window.] I 3 layered it, and then  I cut out a stashed water color panel using the retired Hero Arts Palm Fancy Die [I just adore this die!], along with 2 more white cut outs for dimension with this also.

After adhering all to the colored card base, I added a pre-printed sentiment from Simon Says Sentiment Strips All Things Happy.  That's it for me.

Your turn.  Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge #548, and show us how you use window on your card.

Just Us Girls Challenge #544 - Trend Week

I'm suppose to be the Hostess for this challenge, however I am traveling and not sure I will have internet service.  That said, my friend Nancy Leppek is covering for me by making sure the challenge goes live and all goes smooth. :)  Thanks Nance!

Meanwhile, the long and skinny cards are definitely a trend I have been seeing a lot of here in blogland.  They are rather fun to make too!

Even though my card is CAS, I feel it still packs a punch.  I do love the yellow with the black and white stripes, and of course the lovely [I think, retired] Hero Arts Feather.

Your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #544, and play along.  I'm looking forward to seeing all the long and skinny cards.

Coffee Lovers Spring 2020 Hop

For today's Coffee Lovers Hop card, I used a mix of companies; Hero Arts Need Caffeine, and STAMPlorations Coffeecionado for the sentiment.

I was happy to find the perfect sentiment to go with the "sun" behind my buildings.

That's it for today.  I'll be back tomorrow with more coffee cards for the hop.

Seize the Birthday Challenge

This challenge is all about Spring.  Easy peasy.

I went with some Spring colors for my card.

I stamped the background with images from Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Flowers.

The HB sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome.

Now it's your turn.  Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  Remember, while Spring is an option, being a birthday card is not.

Just Us Girls Challenge #530 - Word Week

I like this word.  Usually I make a masculine card, but not this time...

By adding the bow with a pearl, this turned into a female card [in my mind].

Your turn.  Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge #530 and play along!

Just Us Girls Challenge #522 - Trend Week

I love this challenge - I am all about stripes!

I pulled out my Altenew Leaf Canopy with matching dies, and Hero Arts Blossom Arts [retired], colored and cut out the images, and adhered them onto the water colored stripes.

I added a sentiment, and my card is good to go.

Your turn!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #522 and play along!  I can't wait to see all the fun use of stripes.
