Joining in a Couple of Challenges

Since I am no longer designing for Inspired By Stamping -- Joanna let go the entire team to "focus" on her Facebook page, and classes she is now offering.  I'll miss receiving her images, [I always did like them], however, I do enjoy joining in more challenges.

Today, I am entering my card into Happy Little Stampers; November Christmas.  There is a twist of a tag, [but I didn't use that.]

I did some crafter playing with alcohol inks last week, and used one of the panels to cut out this mc from Ali Express.  The side stamp was in my Christmas box [fun to find sets I forgot I have!] and is Inkadinkado; Snowflakes A Plenty

I love the inked panel cut out.
-------------------------------

So much so, I went on to join in the Love To Craft #16; anything goes.

Again, I used one of my panels, and cut out the trees from Hero Arts Holiday Time [retired], along with using a sentiment from this same set.

Once again challenges - I had fun.   Thank you.

Just Us Girls #419 - Trend Week

For my card today, I made a tag.  I am also entering this into the Happy Little Stampers November Watercolor; anything goes, and for the twist, a tag.

I used CUTplorations Tag #1 Nesting Tags for my base, and recently, I purchased the Cottage Cuts Nested Stitched Eyelet Oval dies, and used those to cut out my water colored panel. I used MFT Die- namics Stitched Ovals to make a glittered background panel.

Then, using Inkadinkado Evergreen Holiday set, I stamped the image in black - for the silhouette stamping, and Hero Arts Holiday Sayings [discontinued] for the sentiment.

Because I also want to enter this into the November, CAS Mix Up; stamping, glitter, + 1 [I used the water colored panel, along with some water spritzing], I adhered my tag onto a card.  Lots of white space now.  The plus?  I get a card gift to give! Win-win.

Well, that was fun!  How do you see silhouette stamping?  Come on over to Just Us Girls #419, and show us your stuff!  Meanwhile, thanks challenges - I had fun!

A Few Challenges

I saw a few fun challenges today that I wanted to play in......

Even though I am on the Muse Team, we don't make sample cards.  I really love this challenge, and I adore the card Therese made this week.  The fun circle flowers have always been a favorite of mine, so I had to pull out my Inkadinkado set, The Garden Variety, to play along!  I added in some awesome gold shiny paper, and gold embossing, which makes me eligible for Shopping Our Stash; shiny and Catherine & Cathy Create; gold. My sentiment is from Hero Arts, Essential Messages.

I watched the Glitter & Stencil Technique video that Jennifer McGuire had today over at Simon Says.  It looked so fun that I had to try it out.  The one lesson I learned - make sure your stencil is clean from the previous use.  Yeah, so for my 2nd attempt.....

Success!  I am entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Challenge; washi tape. I stacked my You 6 times for added depth, and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday, Fabulous.

Well, I had some serious fun today!

SCS Color Challenge

I am Karen Barber's sample maker for the SCS Color Challenge.  This week -- major challenge for me anyway - Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral, More Mustard.  I don't have any Calypso Coral so I used orange.  Not quite coral, but that's all I had.  I used some of my old stamps - the jar is Inkadinkado, the jelly beans are a SU from 1994!  The dots (dessert is self made dp) are PTI Polka Dots Basics.  I can say, I won't be using these colors again, but doable for the challenge!  :)  I used the sketch from Paper Players CAS Sketch #61.

Less Is More and One Layer Wednesday

I have so much fun making one layer cards!  They are just so easy, and if done correctly, they look awesome.  The One Layer Wednesday challenge was Yellow, Orange and Aqua with the Less Is More being a one layer framed image.  Well, I framed my colors and I am thrilled with this card!  I stamped the frame and the sentiment with PTI's Framed. I then took post its and framed the frame to sponge in my colors.  I pulled out my round flowers (Inkadinkado) and stamped them. This is also my first time for playing in CAS-ual Fridays - color blocking. It looks easy, but really this took me a good 1/2 hour to make!  (Well worth to me).  I sure didn't want to miss out on my favorite challenges!

ps - do you Blogger people like this new system?  Wow - huge change I am still adjusting.

Stamp TV Sketch

This card is for Stamp Tv's Sketch Challenge along with the Less is More Challenge - use acetate.  The Hostess of this LIM challenge, Chrissie used white on the vellum against the black base.

I had to try that!  I LOVE the way the white stands out so clear against the card base, and I really enjoyed seeing yet another way to use vellum!  (Thanks Chrissie).  I used the GKD stamp set Hope Grows.  I really like the butterfly in this set - so elegant.
{{ On a side note - this challenge site has become so popular - last week, Chrissie and Mandie had over 300 (!) entires!!  There is no prize, but they do encourage the players to comment on each other's cards for support.  That, to me really is the "prize" -- having stampers come to visit your blog and comment on your cards--  really, just fabulous!  So, anyone from LIM popping over to comment THANK YOU!!  and to my regular followers THANK YOU too!  We ALL love comments.}}

Oh how ridiculous am I!  I went to upload this card over at Stamp TV and low and behold I found a card I had made for this sketch and forget I made it!  Sheez.  Oh what the heck, I will share it too!  Same set was used GKD Hope Grows. What a dweeb I am~~ :)

I also wanted to share ANOTHER set of cards I made for my sister.  [She really does make out like a bandit with my cards.]   She saw my blob flower card,

and asked for a set. Since I don't re-make cards, I kept the same "blob" flower, but changed the colors and size, and also made a holder for them.
I really do love my "blob" flowers, and I thought this was a fun set.  I used Inkadinkado Amy Smyth Made It Garden Variety stamps.  I really like this set - very versatile.  To make blob flowers, I flipped the flower stamp over and stamped with the backside of the stamp, and than used the actual stamp image on top of my blob.  Fun results! Edited - I forgot to link this to Moxie Fab - set of cards

Less is More Challenge

So, now I have 2, well, 3 favorite challenges -- [well, 4 I guess :)].  But, this Less is More challenge is so AWESOME!  I look forward to playing in this weekly challenge. It feeds my CAS addiction that my blog friend Susan over at Simplicity has re-introduced me to.  I LOVE THESE CARDS!  I love all the white and I love this week's challenge of being off the edge.  THIS CARD THRILLS ME.... alot!  I am dedicating this to my friend Susan!  I know she will appreciate the sentiment (Hero Arts)and all the white :).  For you Girlfriend, for all the enjoyment your blog brings to my daily email :).  The flowers are Inkadinkado, Amy Smyth Made It.
Tomorrow, I am participating in a special blog hop from Gina K Designs dedicated to Spellbinders.  Be sure and come back to check it out!  Fun times to be had..  Thanks for stopping by~

Inspiration and Featured Stamper

Well I have been on a roll the last couple of days.  The inspiration challenge at SCS just pushed some button with me and I was off and creating!  I have noticed, some people are inspired, while myself, I seem to just recreate what I see.  However, that is okay with me, since I am still being inspired, and I am liking the cards I am making.  Inspiration takes on all kinds of avenues.  For your enjoyment I am showing you the following CAS cards.

GKD - Gleefully Your's

Flourishes Beauty in Nature (retired)

Hero Arts Feather Grass

Inkadinkado - The Garden Variety

My blob flowers - I just adore these fun flowers!   How to?  Use the FLAT side of your flower stamp to stamp with, reflip and stamp flower image on the blob. :)

I totally LOVE gray and purple!

Hero Arts - Feather Grass

See what I mean?  I seem to recreate but I had so much fun making these CAS cards.  I did make a purple card holder to put these in and now I have another gift ready to go!

The Featured Stamper this week over at SCS --- A.MAZ.ING.!  Oh wow did I fall in love with her fabulous gallery - filled with gorgeous layouts and CAS cards! Here are the two I CASE'd today.  I could of gone on and on, but held myself back. :)

Gina K Designs - Lazy Days of Summer

Remember, on FS you need to change at least 3 things - can't just recreate.  I needed a retirement card -- I think this is perfect for the guy!

MFP - Greet the Day with Gerber

I love the idea of using designer paper to make a card!  I have never done that before and good grief  do I HAVE DP!  Plenty!  Great idea huh?

That's it for me today.  A very productive couple of days and the best part?  I just had FUN - no stress, no worries~~ THE BEST.

Found Stamps

While cleaning my stamp room, I literally found these stamps in a bag under the desk!  Oh my - that is scary, but on the other hand, it worked wonderfully,  I was able to make this card for the inspiration challenge over at SCS from this picture.  One layer cards are so fun and easy to make, while being so convenient to mail!  The flower stamp is Inkadinkado and the sentiment is Hero Arts!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, I did.  Thanks for stopping by~~
