A Fun Day

I had some free time, so naturally, I headed into my stamp room.  I looked up on Paper Playful for some challenges to join in.  Once again, PP comes through with new [to me] challenges.

I started with the Color Throwdown #817 colors, while using the sketch [new to me] from Atlantic Hearts Sketch #601.

                                           

I was rather happy with this end result.  These colors are just lovely, and the sketch brought them together in a unique way.

I came across Diane and Darlene's Stencil Fun Challenge for October, w/ an option of Halloween. [The player-ship is amazing for the site!]  Perfect for my [favorite] moon stencil!

I made a tag and temporarily adhered it onto a sponged, inked, textured background [with H colors too], for a gift Halloween card.  I was surprised how much I liked the colorful background with the purple tag.  It sure does scream Halloween to me.

2 Fun Challenges

I got a couple of inspiring challenges in my email and simply had to play along!

Let's start with the Just Add Ink #615 - inspiration photo.  It so talked to me!

I love these colors together!  I used a water colored panel [from my stash] and cut out some of the fun leaves from the [retired] MFT Wild Leaf Greenery.  I don't have any vases, but I used some lantern dies that I have, and WHOA - perfect!  I couldn't of been happier with my "vases".

I used a Simon Says Sentiment Strip to finish off my card.

I went on to play in CAS on Sunday #237 - Enamel Dots. I went a searching -- I had a TON, and I do mean a TON, of sequins - very few enamel dots.  However, I found just enough to complete my card - so yay!

I used the Stamps of Life Happy Birthday Word Dies for layering, and added in the enamel dots.  It's a win for me having had the dots in orange since they went with the mix of colors on my card!

I'm loving this end result~

Dotty About Flair Day

Today is my DAF Day.  I can make anything I want, using any DAF product I want.  Fun times!

I went with a mini slimline card and used the fun Epoxy: Chase the Rainbow Set.  I used up all I had of these, which worked perfectly for this card.

I used the Kat Scrapiness Mini Slimline Quilted Backdrop Die, [totally in love with the texture], along with the HB from Stamps of Life.

Just Us Girls Challenge #639 - Word Week

I do love a general type of challenge! 

Because it's Nancy's challenge, I instantly thought of the fun Stamps of Life Whale2stamp with matching dies.  It's been forever since I used this company's stamps, and they worked perfectly!

I think this whale is so cute with his little smile.  I used some of Kat's Mini Slimline Dies for the frame and inside panel.  Gotta love how easy they help make the perfect size layer on a mini. [They are on sale right now too!]

I used a cloud stencil [after masking off my stenciled sun], adhered all, and stamped the sentiment.  All done and ready to go!

2020 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Hop - Day 2

 

Since I forgot to make my JUGS card a coffee card for the 2020 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Hop, I am adding this one to enter for today.  I used the super fun Stamps of Life Coffee4Two Stamp Set, along with the matching Coffee Cup Dies.

I do love this giant coffee cup.  I also added the word dies, again, Stamps of Life, Holiday Greetings Die Set.  True story.  I bought this die set from HSN [off of FB] and I was in such a hurry to purchase it [I adore the fonts of these dies!] I FORGOT to use the $20 off coupon!!!  Damn, I could of gotten these dies for $2!  [Still rather slapping my head for that mistake!]

What did help with that mistake, was my win from Scrapbook.com of these amazing paper pads.  While you can't really see it, I lined up the different color stripes on my cup using the Cools Smooth Card Stock pad.

It is so fun to win free stuff!  Look at all these awesome colors. 😀  Thanks again Scrapbook.com - I am loving these paper pads!  Since the word dies, and the paper are new items, I am also entering this card into Darnell's NBUS Challenge #20.

I'll be back tomorrow with another coffee card.  I do adore this challenge!

Just Us Girls Challenge #526 - Word Week

This is a great challenge -- I always need get better cards!

I went digging through my stamps as I wanted to use a whale.  Luckily, I found the perfect set from Stamps of Life, Whale2stamp along with the matching dies.

 I just love this cute whale!  Doesn't he make a cute card? :)

Addicted to CAS Challenge #160

My JUGS Challenge is HERE.  I'm the Hostess and I hope you play along :).

I think this is the first year in probably 5 years that I didn't actually need a graduation card.  That said, I really had to dig in my stamps to find a graduation set.  I used The Stamps of Life, Graduation2celebrate set.

I also used a sentiment from Simon Says You Can Do Anything set [discontinued], that I embssed in gold.

Coffee Lovers Spring/ Summer Hop 2018 - Day 5

This is my Day 5 for the Coffee Lovers Spring Summer Hop.  For today's card, I dug through some of my older stamps and came across this fun one from Stamps of Life; Coffee 4 Two [and matching die].  I also used a Spellbinders Splendid Circles die cut. (Just FYI, these dies are on sale for only $6.99!]

The perfect card for inviting a friend for coffee.

Simon Says Monday Challenge

Today I am joining over at Simon Says Monday Challenge; Simon Says products in celebration of STAMPtember.

I used sets that I purchased last September 2016; Grid Background, Lots of Dots, and Banner Sayings [retired].  I added the fun Lady Bug for a pop of color :).  Just for fun, I tried Laura Basson's technique of over lapping the circles.  Sure worked well with my MISTI :)

Just Us Girls #375 - Word Week

WE ARE BACK!  It was a nice break and I hope you all had a fabulous holiday.  This week's JUGS challenge should be easy - we all have something new, even something you haven't used yet would be new.

That's what I used.  I got this Spellbinders Word Label Stamps & Dies set a few months ago and just used it today for the first time!  I also used it on a new water color panel that I made. ;)  I included a die cut from CAS-ual Fridays Casual Trees Fri-Dies. A simple, bright card.

It's time for the SCS Color Challenge.  This week, Karen chose Watermelon Wonder, Lost Lagoon and Old Olive.  The dessert is an oval.

I used a set from Stamps of Life; Mums2stamp, along with a sentiment from MFT My Favorite Sentiments [retired]. I inked up my stamps and spritzed with water - my faux water coloring effect ;)
