The gallery should bring some smiles to your face with cards using puns. 😉
I went digging, and found this fun stamp set from STAMPlorations, Layered Mushrooms [no longer available]
I kept the colors masculine for this fun guy card.

I kept the colors masculine for this fun guy card.
I went to my STAMPlorations stamps and grabbed the fun [retired] Layered Citrus stamp set. [Just FYI, this set was illustrated by a fellow STB teammate - Shirley Bampton!]
I cut the images out with my Scan & Cut. I also used the [sold out] STAMPlorations Happy Birthday stamp set for the hb. I'm also entering this into Sparkles Monthly Challenge #177 - Funny or a Pun.
That's it for my fruit birthday card -- your turn. Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and join in the fun. While fruit is an option, being a birthday card is not.
I went to my super fun digi image Sketched Cupcake from STAMPlorations. I just love that this image can be re-sized. I went BIG!
I artsy, water colored this cupcake, added a gold star, and laughed when I found this perfect sentiment!
Your turn! Add your star and upload your card over at Seize the Birthday!
I like challenges like this - easy. 😉
I used the retired MFT Balloon Dies to cut out some balloons from an inked vellum panel in my stash.
The gallery should be very shiny for this challenge.
When I saw the challenge, I thought of metallic sequins, which in turn made me think of a shaker card. I used a couple STAMPlorations products, Celebrate Big Word Die, along with the fun Shaker Balloon #3.
I used an older embossing folder for some added texture, and the sequins were from my stash.
Your turn! Come on over to Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along. While using metallics is optional, being a birthday is not. Have fun!
This month [like them all] is flying by. That said, I took some time to play in a couple of my favorite challenges; ATC Around the World #103- Anything Goes, and new on my fav list, Creative Artiste Mixed Media #104 - Anything Goes.
I started with the ATC.
When I was in Vegas, I saw a photo that inspired me to make the background of this ATC; many layers using different papers from my stash; self made tissue paper, water colored paper, some page scrap. I wanted a sentiment, so I went digging and found my STAMPlorations Anywhere There's Coffee stamp set.
Since the cup is also in this set, I stamped and cut it out on vellum so the sentiment would show through.
========================================
I also wanted to join in over at the Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge so, I am using the same ATC, only I put it on a card base. For added fun, I used an embossing folder for some texture, another panel with some self made tissue paper and [my favorite part] I added 2 staples. I don't know why, but staples on a card - yes please! 😀
Thanks Challenges! I had a great time 😁
I really do love this challenge. Using stencils is so easy, and, you usually get a fabulous end result.
I started with a polka dot stencil for the background, blending on a few distress inks. Using the STAMPlorations Smile stamp set, I stamped, cut, and colored the the lilies.
Your turn! Come on over to the JUGS Challenge #720 and play along. So many ways to use a stencil!
It has the 2 shades of green - yay, and I colored the birthday muffin with a couple of shades of green.
I wanted contrast so I made the frosting red.
I just love how this muffin digital from STAMPlorations is able to make the size bigger. I like a big ole birthday muffin! The Happy Birthday sentiment is also from STAMPlorations [2 separate dies]. Just a side note, STAMPlorations has partially opened again! Yay!
Your turn! Come on over to the Just Us Girls Challenge #717 and play along! I'm looking forward to seeing the greens in the gallery~
This is a color scheme that I love! My card just came together, and I am thrilled with the end result!
It does help when you use awesome dies, that work perfectly with the colors. 😀 I used Simon Says Bountiful Sunflower - I am loving this new-to-me die. I am also on a roll with a textured background [Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Quilted Backdrop Die]. I love the look of the texture without the distraction of stamping.
See that Hello [Dare2BArtzy; Hello]? I used an extra thick embossing powder - totally forgot about this stuff. WHOA! I am so impressed with the super thick, glossy end result. I do like "finding" old products, and as the saying goes "using what I have"!]
Okay - I'm good. Your turn - We hope you come on over and play along with JUGS #700. As a celebration of our 700th challenge a few of the JUGS design team members are having a give-a-way! For my prize, I am offering this fun Birthday Die. [You do need to ALSO play in the challenge to be eligible for my prize.]
I just love this week for the challenge. I look forward to it every month. This month? Fabulous!
When I saw the coffee photo I instantly thought of the STAMPlorations stamp set, And Coffee. To get the coffee texture in the middle, I water colored the stamp and stamped. Gave me the perfect effect. The rest I colored with Copics.
Anytime I get to use my fun glasses, I am happy. I adore this die, which went rather well with my faux book. The sentiment is from MFT Everything Wonderful stamp set. Yep, I am very happy with my card :)
Your turn! How are you inspired? Come on over to JUGS #697 and play along!
