Taare Zameen Par

(Like Stars on Earth)

The film, Taare Zameen par, also known as Like Stars on Earth in English. A 2007
Bollywood film produced and directed by Aamir Khan, a famous artist and
director in India. He is also known as one of the casts in the ‘3 Idiots’ which
became famous in different countries because of its unique story. It surrounds a
story of a kid suffering from a psychological disease ‘dyslexia’. This film has really
attracted the attention of educationists, preceptors, parents, directors and
others interested in education. It's said that it's nearly the first film, especially in
Urdu/ Hindi speaking environment, which may contribute to the educational
proposition and practice extensively. A film can change the thinking, stations,
behaviors, and practice of people important faster than any other technique.
This film contains a very important message for both parents and teachers.

'Taare Zameen Par' is one of many movies that don't just entertain, but they
lighten up the perception and thinking of the viewers. This is a movie that takes
you into the mind of a child, and some parents say that in their desire to
strengthen their children academically, they also have hidden talents that need
to be nurtured and cultivated. We forget that movies can change people's
mindsets, attitudes, behaviors and practices much faster than any other
technology, usually now what the viewers are looking for is that which has
suspense and that will trigger their standard in films. This film also tackles to the
teaching skills of teachers in our education system and that needs
improvements especially to the students that needs more attention and guide.
The level of learning of children with special needs is definitely more
complicated compared to a normal student.
Taare Zameen Par is about a child who suffers because no one around him
recognizes that he is a slow learner. This child named Ishaan Nandkishore
Awasthi is an eight-year-old boy who dislikes school and fails every test or exam.
Ishaan’s level of understanding is different from his classmates. He finds all
subjects difficult, and is belittled and berated by some of his teachers and
classmates. The life of Ishaan here, it’s like he has his own world, colorful and so
beautiful for him that his classmates as well as other teachers don't understand.
The film also tackles the hardship faced of the child in school and even in his
home because of his condition. And the discovery of his talent and abilities by
his art teacher at the boarding school.

Parents and teachers should be supportive and understanding whatever the

child is facing. That they are the first to understand that each child has his or her
own unique ability that they can excel at. They should be aware of your child's
areas of interest and provide appropriate guidance. The role of the parent in
this film is a typical one that exists in our society, perhaps in another form.
Mothers are always responsible for looking after and caring for their children,
and fathers are responsible for working and providing for their families. And the
bad attitude towards the child of the mother who blames him for leaving work -
here the child feels as if all bad events are his fault. Parents should be the first to
understand their child's situation. Instead of blaming them, understand and
make them feel that they don't have any responsibility for things they don't
understand. Teachers stand as the second parents of every student. It includes
the children's search for protection and understanding like their parents.
teachers need to understand that there are different types of students, others
don't notice it or don't give deep recognition to each student, just like in this film.
But on the other hand, the role of new art teacher is quite different. He takes his
time to recognize and observe Ishaan's situation more. With time, patience and
care the art teacher succeeds in boosting the confidence level of Ishaan. He
helps Ishaan in overcoming his inabilities and re-discover his lost confidence.

Dyslexia is the central theme of the film. The film raises awareness of the dyslexia
problem and promote a more open discussion among parents, schools, activists
and policy makers. The great thing about this story is that the message applies
to all children, regardless of their learning disabilities. It also shows a very
nuanced finger on how to construct the underlying conformations of our
systems.

This amazing film should open the eyes of the parents of dyslexic children. Taare
Zameen Par was a heartwarming film. It gives a lesson to the guardians, peers,
and teachers about how to behave their child or student, behaving abnormally
or extremely differently from the behavior of common youngsters. Instead, than
putting too much emphasis on fixing the broken coded symbol operations, it's
crucial to support the full development of their special artistic and other abilities.
Instead of labeling them because it demoralizes them, we should help them
and treat them with kindness.

It is a really intriguing and thoroughly researched film, and a person associated

with the film business may contribute more modifications to educational theory
and practice than educators. It makes a positive contribution to parent and
teacher education. I advise you to enjoy the movie but watch it critically as well.
I hope that if parents, educators, and other stakeholders in education improve
their perspectives and educational practices, our society will advance and
generate the gems that will alter global history.
