Through the Years is a compilation album by the progressive rock band Jethro Tull. It is something of a retrospective; with songs from many different periods in the band's history. It is not a greatest hits album; as it has many songs not on such albums (Such as "Quizz Kid", "Still Loving You Tonight" and "Beastie".) It has material spanning all over the band's existence, from their first album to Roots to Branches. The liner notes contain a short history of Jethro Tull, starting humorously with the question "Didn't Jethro Tull die of a drug overdose?"
"Through the Years" is a song written by Steve Dorff and New York City native Marty Panzer, and recorded by American country music artist Kenny Rogers. It was released in January 1982 as the fourth single from the album Share Your Love.
"Through the Years" reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1982, remaining in the Top 40 for eleven weeks and went to number one on the adult contemporary chart, becoming Rogers' fifth single to top this chart. The song peaked at number five on the country chart. Rogers credited "Through the Years" as being one of his career songs. Rogers appeared and performed the song at the 1983 Grammy Awards and at an April 2001 halftime ceremony honoring Charles Barkley at a Philadelphia 76ers game.
In addition, singer Stevie Woods performed a cover of "Through the Years" that appeared on his 1981 album Take Me to Your Heaven.
The Osmonds performed a cover of "Through the Years".
On his 50th anniversary TV special Rogers performed a version of the song with his two friends Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton which also included archive footage of him working with both on various projects through the years.
Through the Years is a 4 CD collector's box set containing all four of Artillery's studio releases prior to their 2007 reunion (Fear of Tomorrow, Terror Squad, By Inheritance, and B.A.C.K.). It also has a 32 page booklet, all the lyrics printed, and the songs are remastered using a 24-bit process on gold discs. Each disc has multiple bonus tracks.
There is a pressing error in the track listing of this box set: on the By Inheritance album, the first bonus track is named as a demo of "Khomaniac", but is actually the same version of "Too Late To Regret" also featured as a bonus track on the Terror Squad album. The song is now available as a free download and streaming on the official Artillery website.
Gary Corbett kills a pair of claim jumpers who did likewise to his father. He is charged with murder, but cannot be taken to Juneau to stand trial until the weather permits. Marshal John Masters keeps him in town until the prisoner can be moved.
Roxie Reagan, who sings at Tom LaRue's saloon, falls in love with Corbett, but she is trapped in a loveless marriage to John Reagan, an alcoholic has-been actor. LaRue also is in love with Roxie, and he and a local judge are suspected by Corbett of being in cahoots with the claim jumpers.
LaRue tries to frame Corbett for another murder, then sets the jail on fire. John Reagan courageously comes to Corbett's rescue, losing his own life in the process. The marshal deals with LaRue, but suddenly reveals that he is the one who has been backing the murderous claim jumpers all along. Corbett manages to get the better of Masters, then sets sail for San Francisco with his bride-to-be, Roxie.
Alaska is a periodical devoted to news and discussion of issues and features of and from Alaska. Most of its readership consists of persons outside of Alaska who are interested in the Alaskan way of life.
History and profile
Alaska magazine was founded in 1935 in Ketchikan, Alaska, by Emery Fridolf Tobin (1895-1977) and J. Ray Roady (1907-1997). Tobin established himself as an opponent of Alaska statehood, although this may have been contradictory, given his ties to the Democratic party and the fact that he and Roady served as State Representatives in 1959.
Alaska magazine was originally titled the Alaska Sportsman Magazine, a name it retained until 1969. It operated much then as it does today, being sold through newsstand sales and subscriptions. The major difference in its early days was the fact that paper stock to print the magazine arrived via steamship, posing the threat of delays, and it operated out of a small basement. Another major difference is that the editorial and sales offices have moved to Alaska's economic center, the city of Anchorage.
In this episode we will explore the modern history of Alaska. It started off as a Russian hunting ground for sea otter pelts. The harsh conditions and other political happening on the North American continent, led Russia to sell the control of the territory to the United States. After almost 100 years under the possession US, the discovery of oil in Alaska, finally led to it becoming the 49th state of the Union in 1959.

48 Years of Alaska's Glaciers
New time-lapse videos of Earth’s glaciers and ice sheets as seen from space – spanning nearly 50 years – are providing scientists with new insights into how the planet’s frozen regions are changing.
Using images from the NASA-USGS Landsat program dating back to 1972 and continuing through 2019, glaciologist Mark Fahnestock of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, has stitched together six-second time-lapses of every glacier in Alaska and the Yukon. The videos clearly illustrate what’s happening to Alaska’s glaciers in a warming climate. Some show surges that pause for a few years, or lakes forming where ice used to be, or even the debris from landslides making its way to the sea. Other glaciers show patterns that give scientists hints of what drives glacier changes.

Lyrics:
I was walking through icy streams
That took my breath away
Moving slowly through westward water
Over glacial plains
And I walked off you
And I walked off an old me
Oh me oh my I thought it was a dream
So it seemed
And now, breathe deep
I'm inhaling
You and I, there's air in between
Leave me be
I'm exhaling
You and I, there's air in between
You and I, there's air in between
Cut my hair so I could rock back and forth
Without thinking of you
Learned to talk and say
Whatever I wanted to
And I walked off you
And I walked off an old me
Oh me oh my
I thought it was a dream
So it seemed
And now, breathe deep
I'm inhaling
You and I, there's air in between
Leave me be
I'm exhaling
You and I, there's air in between
You and I, there's air in between
You and I, there's air in between

About ART WE THERE YET 🚌🌎
Art We There Yet is a project co-created by artist José Luis Vílchez and songwriter Cora Rose. Our mission is to create art inspired by the Americas, and to give back to communities along the way. Aboard a school bus converted into an art and recording studio (a tiny house skoolie bus conversion), we are traveling 30,000 miles from Alaska to Argentina, touching 23 countries of the Americas over 7+ years! We create art and music that highlight the beautiful people and landscapes of the Americas. And we provide murals and workshops in schools and communities that lack access to arts funding. Because ART is meant to be SHARED! ❤️🎨🚌🎼❤️

Alaska is a truly huge state that the United States acquired from Russia for basically peanuts. But Alaska isn't just very large, it's also become an incredibly important state for the U.S. in terms of national security for today and well into the future. In this episode, we'll explore how the U.S. came to acquire Alaska, what Alaska means for the future, why it's so important today, and some of the problems Alaska is facing right now.

I can't remember when you weren't there When I didn't care for anyone but you I swear, we've been through everything there is Can't imagine anything we've missed Can't imagine anything the two of us can't do Through the years, you've never let me down You turned my life around, the sweetest days I've found I've found with you, through the years I've never been afraid, I've loved the life we've made And I'm so glad I've stayed, right here with you Through the years I can't remember what I used to do Who I trusted, who I listened to before I swear, you've taught me everything I know Can't imagine needing someone so But through the years it seems to me, I need you more and more Through the years, through all the good and bad I knew how much we had, I've always been so glad To be with you, through the years It's better every day, you've kissed my tears away As long as it's okay, I'll stay with you Through the years Through the years, when everything went wrong Together we were strong, I know that I belong Right here with you, through the years I never had a doubt, we'd always work things out I've learned what love's about, by loving you Through the years Through the years, you've never let me down You've turned my life around, the sweetest days I've found I've found with you, through the years It's better every day, you've kissed my tears away As long as it's okay, I'll stay with you
