Todd Edwards (born December 9, 1972) is an American house and garageproducer and Grammy winner. He currently resides in Los Angeles. With remixes numbering in the hundreds, some of the artists Edwards has remixed include Wildchild, St. Germain, Benjamin Diamond, Justice, Klaxons and Dimitri From Paris. Edwards co-produced and performed vocals on the Daft Punk song "Face to Face" from the album Discovery. Edwards worked again with Daft Punk, co-writing, co-producing and contributing vocals to the song, "Fragments of Time" off of their 2013 album, Random Access Memories, for which he won a Grammy. Much like his solo albums, his remixes make use of a complex vocal sampling technique, which in some cases renders the original track almost unrecognizable.
History
Todd Edwards began his musical career around 1992. He employs vocal reconstruction techniques to his songs, creating a unique vocal collage set to a four-on-the-floor beat. Marc "MK" Kinchen, who is primarily responsible for pioneering this technique, is one of Edwards's influences.
Todd Edwards is an American film writer/producer, film director, and writer working in Los Angeles. He is also an actor and songwriter/singer who is currently in the band called Blick Van Glory. He was born September 17, 1971 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His first film was Chillicothe which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 1999, in which he wrote, directed, and acted.
The schooner Alabama was one of the last vessels built from the design of one of the most notable designers of Gloucester Fishing Schooners, Thomas F. McManus. Commissioned by the Mobile Bar Pilot Association of Mobile, Alabama, the vessel was built in Pensacola, Florida, launched in 1926, and originally called Alabamian until her predecessor the Bar Pilot Association's original Alabama was retired. Though the hull bore strong resemblance of McMannus' famous Gloucester fishing schooner designs, it served as a pilot boat stationed on the Mobile Bar until 1966.
In 1967 the schooner was bought by Captain Robert S. Douglas, master and designer of the Shenandoah, and moved to Vineyard Haven. There she sat on a mooring with minimal necessary upkeep until 1994. In the early nineties with a dwindling market for windjammer cruises which leave out most modern amenities kids became the new direction for the Coastwise Packet Company - the original name for what is now also The Black Dog Tall Ships. Because of the success of these "Kids Cruises" on board the Shenandoah, Alabama was to be rebuilt by the Five Corners Shipbuilding Company headed by Gary Maynard a former First Mate that sailed on the Shenandoah. Most of the work was done in Vineyard Haven with the vessel afloat on her mooring using Captain Douglas' own power tools and shop space. Any other work was done in Fairhaven, Massachusetts at D.N. Kelly's Shipyard.
The second half of the race was aired nationally on ABC Sports. A crowd of 36,000 was present at the race. Only manual transmission vehicles were allowed to participate in this race; a policy that NASCAR has retained to the present day.
32 lead changes occurred between eight drivers within the course of this race. Buddy Baker, Hamilton, Isaac, David Pearson, Cale Yarborough, Richard Brickhouse, Charlie Glotzbach and Bobby Allison all had their opportunities to dominate the race. Even though Baker led the most laps with 101 (along with having a nine second distance between Pete Hamilton by lap 170), he spent 88 minutes on pit road allowing Hamilton to lap him. Baker began to close in on Hamilton. However, Baker's tire blew heading into the fourth turn on lap 175; fragments of the tire would ultimately damage the engine cooler that would result in a serious fire for his Dodge vehicle. Baker proceeded to attempt to put out the fire by spinning into the grass apron, as the area appeared to have the least amount of possible impact on other cars.
Alaska is a periodical devoted to news and discussion of issues and features of and from Alaska. Most of its readership consists of persons outside of Alaska who are interested in the Alaskan way of life.
History and profile
Alaska magazine was founded in 1935 in Ketchikan, Alaska, by Emery Fridolf Tobin (1895-1977) and J. Ray Roady (1907-1997). Tobin established himself as an opponent of Alaska statehood, although this may have been contradictory, given his ties to the Democratic party and the fact that he and Roady served as State Representatives in 1959.
Alaska magazine was originally titled the Alaska Sportsman Magazine, a name it retained until 1969. It operated much then as it does today, being sold through newsstand sales and subscriptions. The major difference in its early days was the fact that paper stock to print the magazine arrived via steamship, posing the threat of delays, and it operated out of a small basement. Another major difference is that the editorial and sales offices have moved to Alaska's economic center, the city of Anchorage.

Rare Photos Not Appropriate for History Books
History is a strange thing. In many cases, the only things we know about history are things that have been captured in photos or in books. While written history can be manipulated, photos seem to be the only things that can truthfully inform us of the past.
