The Hotel Dusk series so far consists of two games.
- Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (Wish Room in Japan)
- Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (Last Window: Mayonaka No Yakusoku in Japan)
Hotel Dusk was released in America in 2007. Last Window was released in January 2010 and is to be announced in America. You can find trailers for it on the internet. The games consist of puzzles and dialogue (interaction with characters). The games' main character is Kyle Hyde. Hyde is an ex-NYC cop who is on the search of his missing partner, Brian Bradley (courtesy of Hotel Dusk). The game is played with the Nintendo DS held sideways. The touch screen is used for basic puzzles such as combination locks and observing other things. In some cases the _'DS can be closed and then reopened to complete tasks (read the message on the back of Mellisa's puzzle, etc.). The game has recieved critical acception and made Nintendo Power's Best DS Mystery. Hotel Dusk characters Kyle Hyde, Dunning Smith, and Mila Evans made appearances as stickers in the Wii fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Kyle Hyde is also a trophy.
Trivia[]
- The Another Code series is implied to take place in the same universe as Hotel Dusk, as the Hotel Dusk character Rosa Fox is shown with a picture of her husband, the captain from Another Code: Two Memories. The remake Another Code: Recollection confirms this, as the captain is named as Cliff Fox and has dialogue saying her named his boat "Rosa", after his wife.
- Despite this, one of the QR cranes in Recollection mentions a series of detective novels starring Kyle Hyde, though it is not specified if the character is fictional in-universe.
