I loved this movie!  It just has such a quiet, slow, dread-inducing vibe that I found very unnerving.

The acting overall was pretty great too.  Maika Monroe was great as this quirky telepathic FBI agent. This might be her best performance I’ve ever seen.  

Plus Nic Cage is Nic Cage.  This is probably one of his later career performances where his style of acting does fit the material a little bit.  I mean it’s probably impossible to play a creepy hypnotist dollmaker realisticly lol.
