Absolutely insane.
I felt uncomfortable the entire runtime. Not in a bad way, in a ‘ohhh fuck I don’t know if I want to keep my eyes open or closed right now’ kind of way. Longlegs jumps at you unexpectedly. Detectives are trying to decipher who is the serial killer in these brutal family murders, why he did it, and what the connection is between all of them. It’s very reminiscent of past horror films but it still feels incredibly fresh, and most important of all, scary. It’s shot so beautifully that I couldn’t look away even if I wanted to. Nicolas Cage is a FREAK and we love that.
PS.: there was a part where they showed a death certificate of a HISPANIC FEMALE and the date was November 16th (MY BIRTHDAY). I was already scared but that took it to another level lol.
