The only book-to-movie gripes I have with this series is HBP not including the memory where Voldemort asks for the DADA job and Dumbledore's funeral.

Mood. Noir. Sci-Fi. Mystery. High-concept.
What isn't there to love about Dark City? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
This is one of those movies where I forget how great it is until I watch it again, at which point I fall in love with the world Alex Proyas created.
To call it a masterpiece is a disservice.

When I started to read about Miyazaki in preparation for diving into his films, I thought a lot of them would be high-concept action-adventure type films. Until today, the closest I got to that was Howl's Moving Castle.
It turns out the first movie of Miyazaki's I bought was the one I was searching for the whole time.
Castle in the Sky is flat-out incredible storytelling and one of my new favorite movies of all time.
I plan on revisiting this very, very soon.
